That is when he was most famous and became a household name. He became more religious once he was past his bachelor days like a lot of Pakistanis who are exposed to the hedonistic lifestyle in the west.

Yes .. I'm aware of his bachelor past and his subsequent transformation. Although .. you have to wonder how much of the latter is due to political expediency and his PM ambitions.

You can wonder whatever you like I suppose, especially if you don't really know the details. But he had massive celebrity status regardless in the west, he had no need for PM ambitions in Pakistan. Most neutral observers would consider the only reason for his return to Pakistan was misguided patriotism. He even tried to settle his British wife there and in the end it cost him his marriage, although she still seems to be a big supporter.

The unrest surrounding Khan’s health followed protests by his supporters in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, which prompted authorities to impose restrictions on large gatherings. Despite these measures, PTI followers continued to agitate outside the Islamabad High Court earlier in the day.

Earlier reports suggested that the jail authorities had granted the meeting under strict conditions, but Uzma clarified, “No conditions were imposed. We don’t go by conditions.” She described the relief of finally being allowed to meet her brother amid a heavily guarded prison complex.

Umar Khaleed and Sharjeel are some 2 bit activists even if you ignore they are jihadis/ terrorists etc. IK is a former leader of Pakistan. elected or selected is a different debate.Do you see a fundamental difference? Kuch bhi lmao.

They were not confirming like Indian/Afghan media were doing. Afghanistanis were so sure about it and the Indian media were reporting it. None of the Pakistani media channels claimed it. They just said 'as per reports' and no official made any comment on this. And of course, die-hard supporters/family members have had every reason to worry.

As expected any Muslim who raises voice against BJP is terrorist. There are in jail only because they are muslims. There is no proven charge against them.

Imran Khan is an iconic person from this region and has always received tremendous love from India over the years. He might not have been the perfect Prime Minister but we have no doubt the man desired good things for Pakistan and he truly did many good things for that country.

As an Indian, I have openly criticized him here over the years on many political issues related to India-Pakistan politics where I feel he could have done a lot more to bring both nations closer. People might disagree and it’s ok because I am not Mr Know All. Only God knows best.

That being said, Imran Khan is levels above Pakistan’s notorious political elite and current Fauji dictator. On humanitarian grounds stand by him and all those Pakistanis who are asking the right questions for a better Pakistan.

My battles with Pakistani posters will continue on many topics in the future. But in this moment, I e are standing with them in solidarity.

But it was the Pakistani establishment who locked him up, the Pakistani establishment who put him in solitary confinement, and the Pakistani establishment who refused to let anyone see him for weeks. This is what caused the rumour.

Instead of talking about the above people are blaming Indians for allegedly spreading lies.

It is like saying "HAHAHAHA Indian media your lies got rumbled, he is not dead, he is just in a cell experiencing mental torture and unable to see anyone with no sign of release. We really showed you Indians up"

Absolutely. Apparently its the fault of others that IK is solitary confinement for opposing a millitary coup by a vicious and greedy elite. Its even more galling that IKs torture is being used in the battle between murderous Munir and the crooked Sharifs as some of bargaining chip makes these thugs even more vile than anyone ever thought a Muslim could be.

Good that he’s stable.

Gave everything he could to make Pakistan a better team in first half of his life and then a better country in second half. Yes, I know, he made poor political decisions at times, but he had the intention to better the country knowing this was one of the possible outcomes with the country controlled by tyrants and ghunday who just want to loot the wealth of the people.

Knowing this was one of the possible end results he still chose to forego a cushy life which he could’ve just stuck to with family wealth and his own education and status, and instead chose to dive headfirst into the belly of the beast that is Pakistani politics.

Touch even a low ranking BJP leader, RSS will show you how it’s done. Maybe some PTI kitty party housewife like you can take inspiration from them 👍 instead of being a low level whiner with 0 spine, bro you 10-20 pounds or whatever you donate will not even get IK the alleged desi murga in his solitary cell 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Agree on principle, India has stayed true to the principle of democracy, but ironically they have ended up going the same direction as the Pakistan establishment. Only difference is they have done it by choice. 😵‍💫

BJP alone had 36.6% vote share in 2024 LS election.

Congress a distant second with just 22.3% vote share.

Indian electoral system isn’t a 1on1 race for most votes but about securing maximum seats as a single party or coalition of parties. In many states BJP doesn’t directly field its own people but joins hands with coalition partners. Same for Congress.

As a coalition their vote share was 44% against Congress collation ( 37%).

You know this obviously but this is for Pakistani posters who shouldn’t be misguided by your obvious Anti Modi misleading comments. He’s legitimately the most popular leader in the country and is a 3 times PM on the back of winning people’s mandate. Don’t compare him to crooks like the Shareefs or Asim Munir because you don’t like him at all personal level.

I'm definitely not comparing him to any of Pakistan's dictators.

But there's more to being a modern democracy than holding free elections. India is an electoral autocracy. Once the leaders are elected and get into power, they behave like autocrats and use law enforcement agencies as their personal private armies. Compared to his predecessors, Modi has taken this to another level. Anyway, that is all unrelated to this thread. Back to the topic.

Or the beghairat Junta allowed PK to be humiliated on the international stage by stopping a basic human right. You seem to be a big supporter of beghairati. BTW do you agree with lifetime immunity and is it Islamic. It seems you worship him more than Allah
