The youth olympics concluded as of October 18, due to be honest I didn't follow this event at all but did look at the results a couple of days ago to see what happened. Was very pleased to see that despite only sending 3 athletes Pakistan still managed to get a medal at this years game.

Inayat Ullah finished 3rd in boys event 65kg in freestyle wrestling event. He beat American wrestler Carson Manville. Would like to congratulate the young man he did appeal to Pakistan government to help our wrestlers in the future.

Didnt know that. Thanks for sharing. We really need to invest in other sports as well as I am sure there is a lot of potential in the country. People just need facilities and opportunities. There is no lack of hunger.

Good stuff :)
Yeah our sports in general is on such a decline. We were masters at Hockey and Squash. Are now we cant win anything. Time to put back some focus on other sports. Cricket will naturally thrive as it is in the blood.

Thanks for bringing this event to our attention OP. India has 3 G, 9 S and 1 B, ranked above countries like Germany, Great Britain, Brazil, Spain etc. Hope this translates to Summer Olympics success one day. High time India and Pakistan invest in other global sports instead of wasting excess resources on a dying colonial legacy like cricket. As much as I enjoy cricket a spot in FIFA WC or a decent haul of Olympic medals will trump even India's 1983 and 2011 victories. Same must be true about Pakistan. No way are we as rubbish as our sports results show, we just need to harvest the immense human potential and put South Asia on the global sports map.

Well said brother . India has taken good steps for their football team and in ten years time will achieve good things if they keep it up. India also from what I hear has invested in basketball as well which is a good thing. Pakistan needs to invest in our baseball team to they have done some good things and if given support can do more good things as well
