Cricket star Shahid Afridi was felicitated by his cousin Javed Afridi for being nominated as a ‘Governor of Sindh.’

As expected, Javed Afridi’s congratulatory tweet went viral, drawing hundreds of retweets and likes from cricket fans.

But their jubilation turned sour some 40 minutes later when Javed Afridi posted a second Tweet, clarifying his message was meant for another Shahid. But the owner of PSL team Peshawar Zalmi did not explain who the other Shahid was.

The post of Sindh governor fell vacant after the demise of Justice (retd.) Saeed uz Zaman Siddiqui on Wednesday, only two months after taking charge.

Senator Mushahidullah, Senator Nehal Hashmi and Muhammad Zubair are being considered as strong contenders for the post.

Sooner or later he will be in politics for sure. Lets see which side he joins.

Lets hope he doesn't join PTI. A person like Afridi doesn't deserve to be part of PTI.

You do not get nominated as a Governer of Province through a Tweet in Pakistan.

The title of the thread should be altered.

I came across this confusion/misunderstanding yesterday :)

If Dr Samar Mubarik has retired than I recommend him to be made the Governer of Sindh.

Had IK,Nisar & Khattak's Christian teacher Pride of Pakistan would have been abit younger and healthier than I would have wanted him to be made Governer. But probably a christian isn't entitled to become governer.

Since it's a ceremonial post so I won't mind Squash legend Jahangir Khan being made Governer of Sindh.

Had Dr. Mohammad Ali Shah (late) would have been alive he could have been a good choice too.

Mian sahib make a reasonable choice kindly.
