Without Samson, India could've been out in Super Eight (by losing to Windies). :inti
Blah blah blah without abhishek clicking we would have not won many series and lost against Pakistan in Asia cup.

Blah blah blah without tilak we would have lost the asia cup final.

Blah blah blah without ishan we wouldn't have won the group stages of the world cup.

Blah blah blah without bumrah india cannot win anything.

Blah blah blah without pandya we never won much

Blah blah blah without kohli we would have lost previous matches against Pak

Blah blah blah once kohli and Rohit retire india want win anything

Blah blah blah Kuldeep is the match winner against Pakistan

Aren't you tired of making the same low IQ point after every india win, just changing the name of the players?

Without 11 others who played & won matches in the group stage & enabling us to get to super 8's, Sanju samson would not have got a chance to play & display his talents ....
Everyone here can see what u r trying to say & what was left unsaid.

An absolute travesty of a choke by NZ. These losers spoil all knockouts. India got lucky without having to face SA or Aus. Luckiest run to an ICC tournament in my lifetime but congrats I guess.
You are back after running away for 7 days.

There was absolutely nothing lucky about this.

How did you like that 51(22) by Abhishek in the finals? The most important match of the wc.

A quick Google tells me that is in the neighborhood of $15 million. Likely not a big deal for the players. But a very good thing for the support staff.

Half a million dollars a piece approximately. Not pocket change even for the big IPL earners.

For the support staff, a pretty decent windfall.

There used to a poster called Freelance Cricketer, trolled padosis on PP for a fortnight with daily pics of ICT celebrating with the trophy back in 2011...

Jaane kahaan gaaya Woh @Bhaijaan

He was a good bloke. I remember him vividly.
I think he was also MOTT of inaugural PPCL. He created some funny threads. I liked him for his honesty against Modi.

Latest saazish is some dude jumping up & down about indian batsmen "ke balle mein rubbad pheexed hai" 😃🪔💪👌😂🥂

Zimshek hitting some flukes on 50m boundaries on a track where everyone's uncle could make a 100 is not something to be proud of.

Was makes it sound past tense, only the creator knows if it's past or present tense. Hopefully makes a comeback

It would be interesting if he makes a return. This forum would do good when a pure cricketist makes a dramatic return to bump a lot of interesting threads.
But not as interesting as the arrival of a passionate Parsi Bharatiya born to a Jewish mother, carrying old family scars of exile and persecution, a detained father and an axe to grind with the Ayatollah.

Interesting that lineage would suggest a Parsi father and a Jewish mother, a very rare combo. Able to claim both Iran and Israel as home.

especially with a crucial fact remaining a mystery whether the father is exiled by Ayatollah or Mossad or maybe CIA? Because he is believed to be a top spy of his era. Something the kid doesn't know yet because his Jewish mother kept it secret all these years, as it would have also revealed her true story. The layers to this saga go deep.

Spies dont have interesting lineages, they are supposed to blend in not stand out like a bone in the seekh kebab. Plus Mossad and CIA dont exile, they terminate. Story sounds as flaky as a laccha parantha

Will this victory make India overconfident and worsen their Test demise? :inti

Remember they have become #4 in Test. They recently got whitewashed against NZ and South Africa in Test (at home).

Just glanced through last few pages of indian loss vs SAF ....

Amazing how people who ran down our guys were not seen in the semis or finals :) .... which is fine, on expected lines.

Amazing and the sad part is how Indian fickle minded people saw it in their wisdom to diss off and degrade their own elected head of state for loosing two matches at Ahmedabad, on a public international...read Pakistani forum......conveniently ignoring there were other matches played here and India won,...ie vs pak in 2023 wc for eg.

saastey log and sasti intellect...sadly these are my fellow Bhartiyas...

A boring final and an average World Cup. :inti

Always found India a boring venue for a World Cup. They should host most World Cups in England, South Africa, and Dubai (best venues for cricket). :inti

Amreeka for World Cups, we will see 120 totals defended by Indian and PCT getting chittar by:trump2 team....Bangalis cant even remember what they did other than lose:fizz

So what do you say for the Ranji team representing Jammu & Kashmir winning the Ranji trophy 🏆 2026?

Anything positive to say about this ?

You guys have nothing constructive to offer, only the ' hard done by' , saazish & 'victim mentality '...
ICC chairman should be neutral

But unfortunately current one is not

Looks like a sucky evening/night for neighbours.

The music show sucked. Ricky Martin in India? In 2026? You were only a couple and a half decades late in catching the hype. Sukhbir? lol.

Lost the toss. Anything below 220 is an assured defeat already.

Picking Abhisek and Varun in the final despite being no show in the entire tournament.

You know you will have a shoulder to cry on neighbours. I feel for your pain already.

You need a shoulder?

Shahid Afridi praised India for becoming the first team in history to defend the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup title:

“The World Cup is over. I think India deserved the title. They have a great team combination. The players sitting on the bench were also as good as the playing XI. This is why I say that your bench needs to be strong. India’s bench was very strong; they could have picked anyone from there and slotted them into the playing XI. They played the whole tournament as champions,"

“Sanju Samson was outstanding. He got the opportunity and he delivered with his sensible hitting and his ability to build the innings. Abhishek Sharma also performed well tonight. Ishan Kishan also performed outstandingly, just like he had performed against Pakistan. Jasprit Bumrah was the backbone of their bowling who has carried India on his back for a long time with his impressive performances."

2011 was a 50 over WC, brother. I’m sure he’ll be back celebrating if we win in 2027. T20s ain’t the same thing.

One more thing that gets overlooked. ICC need to find a way to balance out the groups. Last time AFG knocked out NZ, they almost knocked out RSA this time in Group Stage itself. ZIM also knocked out Australia right in Group stage itself.

Basically there should be 2 strong teams whom are expected to go through next rounds barring any major upsets. But of course ICC has no integrity.

So, you are saying that stronger teams should be guaranteed spots in the second rounds? Whats the point of the league rounds then?

ICC always puts small and big players together - it is not ICC’s fault if you play crap and lose to associate teams.

These guys want India to lose. That is the end goal. So they may even ask things like Any team whose name starts with "I" should play 5 finals against 5 teams others can just play 1 final. Aussie lickers. Even Aussies admit "we suck in this format" . A team that accepts their short coming will get better. THey are not bangla fans who blame everything under the sun for their predicament.

BCCICC and balance do not go together.

Bunch of retards are running ICC currently. Jay Shah is obviously the retard-in-chief. :inti

I think you know the answer to what Rizwan would and will do
I should have mentioned that there are no prizes for guessing the answer

Even a dunce can guess it.. but maybe there should be an exception for someone who thinks Rizwan is a T20 Champ...whatever that means

In world cup football there are so many upsets in the first rounds which often throws good teams out. Which is what makes football so interesting. If anything cricket gives the big teams way more chances and reaching semis is so easy.

Kiwis are chokers. Not a bigger one than proteas but they are number 2 for sure... CHoke is in their blood

Exactly, already the league matchups are totally loaded in favor of big teams.

Honestly, the quality of posts in this forum has gone down drastically over the years. People don’t think twice before spewing nonsensical conspiratorial stuff. Hope the OGs of this forum come back.

I think it should had been just for support staff, players in T20 make tremendous amount of money.

No.. choking is losing from winning positions…. Saffers are consistent there

Kiwis won in 2000 as well against Ind ICC - Cairns spl.

In terms of ICC they are on same amount.

2019, one can’t call it a choke.. except that all other games they never looked to win.

They might ve reached finals but never looked like winning the final..

SA have continuously choked in games, heck in 2015 they choked against Kiwis itself

Will this be a problem for our major bhai?

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has decided to reward India’s T20 World Cup-winning team in some style. The BCCIannounced a staggering ₹131 crore cash reward for Suryakumar Yadav and his team after their historic triumph in Ahmedabad two nights ago. It is the biggest prize ever announced in Indian cricket, surpassing the ₹125 crore reward the board presented to Rohit Sharma and his team after winning the T20 World Cup two years ago in Barbados. India’s Champions Trophy-winning team was awarded ₹58 crore, while last year’s Women’s World Cup-winning team took home ₹51 crore.
“The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a cash reward of INR 131 crore for Team India following their triumphant campaign in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026,” the release said.

“India lifted the prestigious trophy after defeating New Zealand in the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, successfully defending the title and becoming the first team in the history of the tournament to retain the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. With this victory, India also became the first team to win the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup three times, further cementing their place among the most successful teams in the history of the format.

The Board congratulates the players, support staff and selectors once again on this historic achievement and wishes them continued success in the future.”

India defeated New Zealand by 96 runs in the final to win their third T20 World Cup. With this win, Suryakumar Yadav joined an elite group that includes Kapil Dev, MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma and Harmanpreet Kaur – all captains who have led India to World Cup glory. The victory also made India the only team to successfully defend a T20 World Cup title and win it on home soil. India played out a near-spotless campaign in the tournament, dropping only one match to South Africa in the Super 8s, losing by 76 runs.
However, that defeat proved to be a kick up the backside for the team, as they bounced back strongly thereafter. India beat the West Indies in a do-or-die clash before holding their nerve in a tense win over England in the semi-final. The final, though, was a no-contest, with India posting a colossal 255/5 before dismissing New Zealand for 159.

The T20 World Cup win is another feather in the cap of Indian cricket, which continues to be a dominant force in world cricket. India are currently the champions of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, the ICC Champions Trophy, the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup, and the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup in both the men’s and women’s categories. Besides, India also holds the men’s Asia Cup.

Choking means losing from winning position
Out of these all losses most have been in lopsided defeats

Only choking was 2019 final which they should have won

In rest of matches I don't think so they were in winning position
