I mentioned this in the India v Pakistan match thread in the MCG that ‘tuk tuk’ will be the demise of the Indian openers. Guess what, it has knocked India out of the World Cup!

What was this performance by KL and Rohit in the powerplay?? Why do they need 10 balls each to get going? Why is Butler scoring 3 boundaries in the first over as a contrast?

I’m sick of Indian batsman leading the way for Pakistanis to admire and follow! It is hurting our cricket massively. There is a severe lack of urgency on display in the powerplay overs

When will the sub-continent wake up?! When will we say that enough is enough?!

It is time to unite as one and raise our voices against this disease that is ruining our cricket in the shortest format, that too in the easiest part which is the powerplay of all overs!

It is surprising for India as they have a really strong middle order and late order. When the openers are batting, it felt like they are lowering the score and if SKY had gotten in early it would have been better for them. India has proper batsmen lower down and much better than Pakistan.
With Pakistan, things are different because we have never been a good batting team. In the World Cup, the current players are in form but they will show the weakness as we play more games with the current team. Haris's inclusion has definitely strengthened our team.
Babar and Rizwan need to strike above 130 for Pakistan to do well as our bowling has the ability to defend 160 to 170. India's bowling can not so they need openers with 140+ strike rate.

SKy seriously missed out on a flat pitch against an ordinary attack. Honestly he was dumping Livingstone to all corners in ENgland. Here we see guys tuk tuking. These ground dimensions would have worked totally for him. But even his pyrotechnics would not have been enough given the bowling combination India went with.

This team performs based on tracks they play on.At the mCG India would have given a run for money. In English conditions guys like Bhuvi were unplayable for the same set of batsmen. But on roads they got exposed brutally.

They can't unite to play a bilateral series and you want them to come to an agreement on playing tactics?

Putting the cart before the horse my friend. Let them play Sri Lanka and see if they can work out some strategy with them.

This is one common ground we have

We must unite

Rana - why do you start up such embarrassing threads which only come down biting you later? What unity when they can't even play in bilateral because one side is filled with immature lot who behave like elementary kids? We know you post a lot of troll stuff here but atleast run it through your mind and process it before posting. Just because India got an absolute next level thrashing of a lifetime you want to drag Pakistan into as well?

Pakistan doesn't have any tuk tuk in the team, and few fans having verbal/online diahrrea won't change it. Babar-Rizwan are the best things that has happened to Pakistan cricket in a long while. Fans could be so shameless to not to realize that is nothing less than a big joke.

This is just another thread of garbage in - garbage out.

True faces of so called pakistani fans being exposed in thread after thread. And when did pakistani posters start worrying about state of Indian cricket?

As a pakistani supporter I am happy India is out of the tournament, as simple as that. I respect them, but don't want to meet them in the final :)

There has to be something we can do?

Pakistan can lead the way by axing their anchor openers

Or India can do so by finally putting the foot down on KL Rahul! It is embarrassing watching him play in the powerplay!!

i don't really understand this sentiment. You complained about their strike rates and there was criticism from many different areas to these players so these players like Babar actively improved in this area and now striking at a considerable higher strike rate.

Babar Strike Rate this PSL 145.4
Rizwan Strike Rate this PSL 142.85

Babar also showed the 5th gear that he was lacking in his last century. So what exactly is your issue? Are you angry that these players are improving in these areas which leaves your argument mute or you believe that a player is born a certain way and these players can do nothing to improve themselves?

5th gear against sub par international bowlers

He can’t do that against proper bowlers. Don’t try to tell us that he can

Babar can only show through his actions, he was constantly being criticized about his strike rate so he improved in his strike rate and power hitting. He showed his strike rate improvement in the PSL and his power hitting in the recent match.

So the same sub par bowlers were able to skittle out Bradman Imad out for some change so what would that make Imad. Imad seems to be only be able to exclusively ever perform against weak attacks or only perform in a losing cause.

What do players like Babar and Rizwan have to do to be good T20 batsmans in your eyes? Does there strike rate improvement mean nothing? Genuine question that I would like you answers!

What must they do?

Bat in their positions (3 and 5) And I wouldn’t care if they have SRs of 120.

Occupying opening spots as middle order batsMen who are more concerned about protecting their wickets

Then boy I will always have a problem!
