The most important day of this match.....and the series as well:)

How much will india make today? How soon will they declare? Will the aussies collapse by today itself? Many questions to be answered today.

the stadium is jam packed....................with empty seats.:|

Am I missing something here? Is this not the most important day of the match?

Where's everyone? :pissed:

That's very disappointing considering the match situation.

Seems like its the same case here too.:(

Funny that of all the guys you showed up RA.:p

I dont think Indian public likes it when India walks over a side like Australia. We like to see India struggle, struggle, fumble, fumble, choke, comeback. We dont like to win like this. Its not our style :)

No wonder Bollywood is so big in India. :88:

Here to the bitter end Nikred

Sehwag and Gambhir smashing us now 0/148 after 30 overs

ppl have jobs too...and cricket is not that big in life in India like the 80s and early 90s....as India is developing more and more, more people with jobs....less focused on cricket....especially test matches.

Zaheer khan had warned them before hand that they suck. RA thought that was funny :D

exactly what I was saying earlier. They want to see David and Goliath, they want it to be like this :42:

Don't be surprised if they make even this match a bit like :42:

Unfortunately I had to work this weekend so haven't really been around. Looks like we'll be chasing 10000000 to win. No worries, we just need Dubya to score 5000000 and the other guys to score the remainder. It's all good!

Will be a very close match.....but still aussies will end up losing by only 200 runs:p

We surely miss you man :D. RA is still giving us a courageous company though.

I tell you this guy Greg Chappell is one bad luck magnet. Misfortune follows him wherever he goes. Look what he has done to the Aussies !

:))) :))) :))) :)) :)) :))

Yeah some help he has been.

Ponting should now employ a negative line outside the leg stump with spinners IMO.

I coudnt find an appropriate English word for him :)) may be you could help me. we have good words in gujrati language for him: narkundi, bundhyaal, panvati, manhoos etc :))

Andrew Symonds must be chilling over a beer in his living room righ now thinking "the fishing idea was not that bad afterall" :))

what is Rauf smoking?
They why canot they go to 3rd umpire?
That should have been a straight forward out.

That was a bad miss by Rauf. The nick was very very slight and it seemed as if there was some gap between ball and bat. Viru might have walked though, been sporting about it and all..

Yaar we are still the number 1 team in the world and he is still a pretender who averages 32 at Test level. Those words (and Sehwag's which were worse) were unnecessary and really poor sportsmanship. As I said before it is just like Animal Farm.

But to the victor go the spoils so enjoy!

This is disgraceful from Australia so far today. :pissed: A few of these blokes need a reality check if they think this performance is acceptable in any way.

hello? where are the 4's and 6's? 10 wkts in hand and these guys have slowed down

This Siddle guy is a good prospect. Got Sehwag finally.

What will be the Indian strategy from now on? Hope the WALL wont come in and start grinding it out..

Random Aussie, Zaheer Khan although shouldnt have said it but in reality he was right. Second the Aussies play similar mind games with Indian and Pakistani players so why these double standards that only the Australians can dish it out but the Indians or Pakistani's cant.

Siddle has done well, pity about the rest of the bowlers

Dhoni promotes himself to 3 .. I like that .. Dravid would have totally ruined the momentum !

From Cricinfo :

I am told that after Sehwag got away with that thick edge, Ponting walked up to him and suggested that he shoud have walked

:)))

Hmm i wonder why Lee hasnt been given a bowl yet today? Has Ponting lost so much confidence in him?

He must have been dying to say that to some one other than an aussie bat:))

Did Ricky do that himself in the Sydney Test match or did he ask Andrew Symonds to do the same in that test match as well?

Sore Loser.

You are misunderstanding the point Savak, no problem with the mind games but it is massively hypocritical when you have been crying and whining about how the Aussies are arrogant foul mouthed poor sports etc.

And then turn around and be arrogant foul mouthed poor sports yourselves.

Sehwag's is a little different, he accused us of cheating the day before India were to host Australia in a Test series. That is contemptible and shows disrespect for the game he plays.

Lol Dhoni has booted Dravid from number 3, well done

I wonder what sort of target Dhonis is looking to set .. I think it should be no more than 450.

We will say, we are now starting to get even ! We are saying game on! bring it on.

Dhoni is swinging at everything. And beginning to connect well too.

I have a feeling that Kumble's "injury" will continue for the rest of the series .

I aint crying, it is your problem not mine.

Just funny that a team and country cry blue murder over certain things and then turn around and do exactly the same. And of course are totally unable to comprehend the hypocrisy they freely accuse everyone else of.

:D

So all that other stuff was just crying because you lost :))) :)))

India really like to play their cricket hard and aggressive :))

Ricky Ponting must have really said something nasty to Sehwag to break his concentration :p

Ricky is a crook, thug, liar and hypocrite....accept it mate :pissed: :batman:

Hey Listen. We whinged, we took moral victories. All we are saying is no more. Its pay back time. No rules now. Its the "Mahabharata" - google for it.

Pitch is still looking beautiful for batting. Hopefully Australia can make it look that way when they go out, but I doubt it on first innings performance.

I am surprised no Negative legside line yet? Hey listen Ponting ask somebody like White or clark, make them bowl round the wicket on 5th stump outside leg

Battle of hypocrites. Ponting wants to talk India's walk when it suits him but won't walk his own talk.

That would be excellent. If India really just want to play hard cricket, sledge when the pressure is on and play mind games in the media, all good.

:D

So long as there is no sooking about hard cricket, sledging when the pressure is on and playing mind games in the media when they lose match.

Great so the only blokes who can get a wicket this innings are the bloke playing his first Test and the part time spinner playing his second Test.

I imagine India might declare halfway through the next session, set us 500 to win and send in the spinners. Concur with Milo that we probably won't make 200 in the second innings.

Lol not sure they could do that.

Because of slow over rate we should get about 38 overs in 3rd session. With 90 tomorrow that's 128- enough time. India can go all the way through session 2 if they like though they don't have to and won't.

Fading light about to become our friend :D

:O What will Michael Conn and Brendan Juliun say about that.

They will say smart tactics from the Australians :))) :)))

On another note, Cricindia the biased joke that it is has finally admitted after posting that Ponting has told Sehwag to walk that they actually have no idea what was said and are just speculating. Not biased much hey?

Mike Hussey, can keep, can bowl and swing the ball, averages 70 in Test cricket with the bat, great fielder.

We need another 4 of him.

I ask why the hell can Mike Hussey swing the ball but no full time bowler can make it move an inch?

Edit - onya Brett, the run rate was coming down for a second there but you have fixed that up

Wow you guys are really selling yourselves short. Mental toughness, fighting till the last breath and refusing to lose doesn't go away overnight you know?

I predict a draw.

Dhoni lookalike in the stands with shades and long hair... in the Indian blue uniform as well.

Ganguly slowing down the proceedings and run rate as well. :pissed:

He is going at a strike rate of 89 against Dhoni's 77.

Both are wasting time here.........
