The Super 8s starts today with the clash between NZ and India.
Weather is very good according to CI: 9.30 am We have visual confirmation of the lovely weather. "Another beautiful day at the Wanderers. Clear weather, not too hot. But the 10am start clearly is too early for most of the people here - there are vast empty spaces in the stands, though the grass bank is quite well populated."

MS Dhoni has won the toss and Indians will BOWL
India wins toss..NZ's batting first
Nice weather for cricket

Same team for India as the previous match
NZ has Jeetan Patel in for Chris Martin
India won the toss and elected to field first

agarkar still in the team!?!?!

agarkar still in the team!?!?!

I expect more freebies from Agarkar...seriously even someone like Sehwag may go for lesser runs if he bowls
McCullum with two fours off RP. Bhangra playing
NZ 34-1 after 4
Agarkar to bowl
McCullum out ct at boundry off Harbhajan
NZ 86-3 after 11
Styris in
there's been a wicket in every harbhajan over so far...

his last over has 5 off the first 2 balls.
now it's sreesanth's turn to get walloped. Indians taking a hiding here.
164/5. Pure carnage now. Sreesanth carved behind point for 6 by Oram
Oram gone now caught at long off. Sreesanth gets his many after conceding plenty.
I love love to see the runrate graph here. There must be some HUGE spikes in there.

Another SIX off Sreesanth.
Oram with a six off Sreesanth and then gets out ct
NZ 164-6 after 18
70 runs in last 5 overs
and Oram goes.

He's played his hand though. Brilliant.

Two overs left...need to get maybe 20 more.or at least get to 180
Agarkar starts 19th over with three fours. Vettori the batsman
NZ 176-6 after 18.3
4,4,4,3,6,0 off that over. Agarkar getting a pasting from Vettori and McMillan.

New Zealand 185/6
Bowled him! Vettori bowled by RP Singh trying to force the runs.

3 wickets in the final over (more importantly dot balls) means New Zealand stay under 200.

India chase 191 to win.
Bond will destroy the Indians! 190 is too hard in front of quality bowling.
bad fielding continues for NZ. misfield at boundry and a four
Ind 19-0 after 2
Ghambir with a six off Bond and then edged over slip for a 4
Ind 29-0 after 2.3
india on fire here....
nz bowlers seem to be getting a pasting...
40/0 in 3.3 Ov
and then a 4.....a wicket is imperative or this will get out of hand quick
47/0 off 4 overs. Sehwag and Gambhir off to a flyer. The Kiwis bowling upfront this tournament has been rubbish (not including Kenya).
Comeon KiwiS!!! Jeetan Patel comes on. Ex-pat vs India
Make it back to back 4s with an edge to 3rd man off Patel's 2nd ball.
Patel/Vetorri are the only ones who stand between India and a win here....
not the best of starts for Patel

8 off the first two balls.

India: 55/0 (4.2 Ovs)
