Good Luck Pakistan

just half hour left
hopefully we can get past 250, but think it will be difficult job.

Yeah 240-250 should be the target. Honestly i feel that it's a lot more about how IND bowl than how PAK bat because M Sami should not be able to survive the new ball spell in hazy conditions.

Go Mizbi - make some history....supported by Sami & co!

Looking forward to seeing Shoaib Akhtar unleashing himself for the first time in a test for a year (but not for a few more hours) :)

Good luck Pakistan.

Lets hope the script is different from the traditional one where a partnership, however stubborn, breaks in an anticlimax as soon as the session starts.
Once they survive the first half hour, I will be hoping for over 300.

we will need aggressive captaincy from malik today .. if he does the same shiz that he did vs south africa we have no chance in hell.

Yay Oxy, that's a great avatar!

Please tell me when you remove it, I want to use it.

Really hope we can get past 250, 300 would be amazing.

uploaded Misbah's picture last night, already became a member of his fan club after 20/20 cup, yesterday I honored myself by being the president of misbah's fan club.
Go Misbah Go
Go Pakistan Go
I also have a feeling that today our bowling attack will destroy India's batting line up.
so excited for day two.

Just a few moments ago, I read your post in which you mentioned that your Dad is an Indian. Then why are you supporting the Pakistani side?? :20:

One obvious explanation is that your Mum's a Pakistani.

No offense is meant by this post..just a little bit curious thats all.

Funnily enough.......I know a family where the mother is Pakistani and the father is Indian. They have two sons and one daughter. The sons both support India and the daughter supports Pakistan!

is that what you do when your team does not perform well? choose your words carefully because it could very well show your character and personality. I stand by my team at good and bad times, get this in your brain.

Any run we get today is a bonus

Its high time these sons converted their sister!! :D

Misbiz & Sami come out to play! Looks a bit foggy & misty

The game is still being played in Mars. Smog, haze, whatever you call it.

Munaf Patel to begin proceedings.

Man - you can barely see the play going on with all that mist.

9.30 am starts!

WHat a single - risky - surely wouldve been run out

ok so at least not 210 all out which I had a feeling would happen

they say Day 2 and 3 will be the Best days for batting. indian fancying their chances here

come on Miss Bah baaji. 28 more runs. You can do it sis.

Zaheer on to bowl - Misbi gets 2

Positive start by both our boys

UlHaq opens account with a fierce looking drop and run!

Bruce Yardley says India are under pressure - after four balls today!

I still can't believe people wanted Afridi in the team ahead of Misbah!

160 all out

Here we go

Go on guys, belt the living daylights out of them. Misbah for 200 and Sami for 100

Read my earlier posts carefully and you can judge my character for yourself.

No need to act all high and mighty buddy. If you cant see the humor in exchanging retorts (which my Pakistani friends and I do all the time)..then there is no point in responding to you.

Hash & DM in the same commentary thread - what could be better? I'm honoured :)

Ball is keeping low. bounces in front of Dhoni.

No morning juice visible yet.

Misbah and Sami, with their 71st run together, now hold the record for the best ninth-wicket stand by a Pakistan pair against India

Afridi should have definitely been the team let alone the squad. At least if test match performance correlates with how you play in test matches. I don't know who wanted him ahead of Misbah, he's also a definite for me. I would have taken out any of our openers for him with or without rearranging batting order.

I'm not sure that many people were arguing for Afridi's inclusion instead of Misbah - I think you've got confused with people arguing for Afridi at least being in the squad instead of Faisal Iqbal.

I am one of them. We needed both Misbah and Afridi.

Sami's always had a solid defence, he's also had a handful of shots he plays well, I'd like to see him grow as an all-rounder

I'd rather play Afridi's jock-strap over Faisal Iqbal...

Oxy where's that avatar!? You didn't bow to the pressure did you :(

well he does possess a quite vicious and ferocious jockstrap so it's an easy choice :D

I'm not Musharaf - I saw where the vote was heading, and graciously 'took off my uniform' :D

Patel to Misbah-ul-Haq, no run, short of a length delivery outside off stump, Misbah stands on the back foot and drives the ball behind point for a single

cricinfo gone bonkers

To think Ganguly was virtually finished as an Indian cricketer in 2005 - met him & spoke to him at the time.

He had given up! And now look at him!

Both bowlers look like they havent woken up yet. No intensity. Suits Misbah and Sami.

It's quite sad to see how much Munaf's tamed

Remember from the very first days when he was being touted on icf and here as their first tearaway. Now this. We really do have a gem in the eternally express Akhtar.

89.5 Patel to Misbah-ul-Haq, no run, poor line, drifting down leg side, Sami merely defends towards midwicket off the front foot but that was a scoring opportunity

cricinfo really losing it now

What happened to Munaf Patel - Abdul Razzaq has more energy than him!

In that case they never deserved that avatar anyway!
