India have sent Sri Lanka in. Yes, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has managed to win a toss, having not had such a good run with the coin.

India play five bowlers - Sehwag and Sreesanth out for Praveen Kumar and Munaf Patel. Sri Lanka bring in Dilruwan Perera to openm which means Chamara Kapugedera stays and Farveez Maharoof is out.

He was a good tosser last year. I think he won most of the tosses in T20 Cup and later in Pak-Ind series. Not practicing hard enough I guess :batman:

Great ball by Sharma to dismiss Parera
I am glad it is this was the other guy and not Jayasuriya. Only thing to watch this match is Jayasuriya

and he is doing quite well...

Pathan seems to be carrying a niggle

Jayasuriya is not doing well. he is only 23 off 20. He has probably played half or more balls of his innings unless it is an excptional one. Can he make a 40 off next 20 balls? I don't think so and he will probably be out before that. SL has to win and Jayasuriya has to score but then I called for him to score two mathces ago but he refused.

Too bad mate, as much as I wish India to win, its sad to see Sanga go so cheaply.. Wish Sanga stayed and Jayasuriya gone.

so this praveen Kumar guy got the wickets of the world's best batsman, SL's captain and probably the most dangerous batsman in the history of S Lankan cricket.

Awesome performance and an excellent selection by Dhoni.

Jayasuriya hasn't taken his pads off yet. Looks dissapointed as I am. It might be he was thinking about retiring from ODIs too and he failed again but maybe we will have to wait for later this year

Batsman Vaas in as someone is out.
Dilshan probably out LBW I Sharma
SL 93-6 after 23.2

SL making a comeback here
108-7 after 32 overs
5 overs with no wickets

aaja nachley Harbhajan Singh into attack. and first ball goes to four. some kind of shot maybe sweep that went to midwicket boundary
114-7 after 33.1 overs

IS gets Malinga! Bit of inexperienced shown by Kapugadera, he should have never taken a single of the 1st ball.

Come on Asia kay sun screen coated sheron. Make something happen

SL 147-8 after 41 overs

Some fielder just too a catch at boundary but was falling over the ropes and let the ball go to avoid a six. well done
SL 158-8 after 42.4 overs

Murali out bowled by someone, that is dissapointing as he is very entertaining to watch
SL 179-0 after overs 46.5

Man you are hillarious :))

I don't have audio on so if I don't see the name or a recognized face on screen they become "someone"

India should win this and go to finals. That will be the good end to the fighting series between Aus and Ind

Probaly at 65 strike rate and his fans will harp how he is God and another innings under "pressure."

U have been here longer than me. so ur post count is more.
but i have read many of ur posts like what u posted about the -65 strike rate.

if u have ANY idea about Sachin tendulkar's strike rate over his entire career, u would not be doing this. or for that matter even in this series itself, where he has not done well, his strike rate is decent.

so, when u posted -strike rate of 65- , it is clear that u just want to wind up sachin fans. that is exactly what a troll does!

hope u understand.

No, a troll posts and then hides. IE like the story with the troll under the bridge and how he hides under the bridge. I didn't run anywhere unlike some of you lot when India begin to lose.

And who said I was trying to wind up Indian fans. Its what I believe. Any knock he plays at any S/R is always blown out of proportion even if it is against Bangladeshis!

I think you have Rajan wrong. He is a good and fair poster

Sachin's failures get blown out of proportion too, so its only fair that his succeses get too.

:D I was certainly glad to see some rain in NSW and Victoria. I heard there was a bit of a drought before that so a bit of rain must have helped them out.

Not to mention the time you put in watching the drop falls on live TV. Too bad they interrupted it with those old highlights of India down under :))

Some awesome batting today...

Although Yuvraj just goes... Good batting by the Indians on a pancake today

Along with the runs he has made, his consistency and comfort level while facing all the bowlers makes Gambhir's performance very impressive. he is largely untroubled by any bowler in this series so far.

Aussies have out thought him in the last match by laying a trap successfully.hope he remembers that and focusses when playing in the finals.

Murali once again not able to make any impact on the indian batsmen. 8 overs for 54, sachin's wicket, with the batsman making a mistake.he was handled quite confidently by Gambhir, Yuvraj and Sachin. augurs well for indians when they face Hogg next time.

Murali is useless in Australia, always has been.

If you think Warne was bad against India have a look at Murali's record in Oz.

Yeah a 10 year drought - so any rain is good for us

Very impressed(and some what surprised) by how well Gambhir has played. He is certainly not as big a talent as Yuvi or SRT but is mentally very strong.

Congratulations to Australia and India for making it to the finals :14: .

Good to see Sachin being back in form :19: . Irresponsible shots did it for Sri Lanka :( .

Good performance by India today. The bowlers made sure that the Sri Lankans never got a decent total and the batsmen took upon themselves. Nice to see that Tendulkar, Gambhir, Yuvraj, Dhoni, Pathan and the bowlers hit form ahead of the finals.
