Sri Lanka v India | 3rd ODI | Columbo | 3/2/2009

Match starts in about 45 minutes. India looking to clinch the series.

Indian crew how many ODI games in a row have the Indian team won?

Would be interesting to see their record since the famous 2 wins in the CB series.

dhoni must be a magician... thats 3 toss wins in a row! I'd like to see his overall toss win/loss ratio. Should be an interesting analysis.

Including those 2 wins in the Finals of the CB series, India have played a total of 23 ODIs out of which they have won 18 of them and lost 5.

Well its a home game for SL - they should be listed 1st, not India!

Don't know what your layout's like, but it's above my enter key, [shift bracket].

Fixed yaar.

Sheiky I don't have the character anywhere visible on my keyboard.

Anyway, Dilhara "has a slower ball" Fernando in for one of the never ending SL fast-medium pacers. He will go for plenty as usual.

Edit - I see the first comment on Cricindia has mentioned the slower ball :))

4 losses to Sri Lanka and one to Pakistan?

Very good record nonetheless.

India got rid of the dead wood at right time after a poor WC and ever since have built a good ODI team.

time we dumbed sachin in favour of rohit

I was waiting for an Indian fan to say this, Sachin is a great but is their really any point in playing in this series, its a throwaway series at best.
R.Sharma is India's best batting talent after Sehwag.

Sachin fails for the third straight match, looks an iffy decision. But the question is should he be out their in the first place.

Dilhara strikes! Tendulkar again LBW, Cricindia again casting doubt on the decision. Deja vu.

Lol ohh nooo commentary I am listening to saying missing leg stump any truth in it ???? :D

Well no doubt in last game's decision; is it out if it is not pitched in line missing leg stump ? WELL IF THAT IS THE CASE its out :)...

He should try hitting the ball with the bat instead of his leg and we could avoid all this fuss

1/10 after 2.4 overs

On a side note thank you to team India for not making 300 in the last game, meaning I don't have to post in Hindi and Oxy does not have to join the BJP.

I am not in a position to watch the proceedings. The question that is bugging me is, did Tends show his bat to the umpire?

MAn these Lankan umpires>> such cold blooded cheats it aint funnyyy...
havent they been told who their new pay-masters are|

Fernando to Sehwag, OUT, Gambhir's gone, that was lucky for Sri Lanka, Sehwag pushes the ball back towards the bowler, who does well to get a hand onto the ball, it brushes his fingers and crashes into the stumps at the non-striker's end, where Gambhir is caught well out of his crease
Ah, Gambhir's habit of leaving the crease !

Showing it to the ball would help.....

Gambhir run out, 2/24 after 4.1 overs.

I am not watching Momo, I do not see the point in watching SL v Ind yet again. Just open if there is a highlight. And Sachin LBW is not a highlight.

Here comes the YUVI :))) :)))

I agree. His dismissal per se definitely is not. But his desperate attempts to avert the inevitable are a treat to watch.

will be interesting to see how sehwag bats now, with 2 wkts gone. Probably attack is the best policy.

Are the selectors retarded? They ruined the best opening partnership they've had for ages (Gambhir + Sehwag) just to accomodate Sachin at 1. Terrible decision.

They should either drop him right down the order or retire him.

The team has enough experience now, they don't need mentoring. If they carry him all the way to the WC, the WC is going to be such a distraction for India, every game potentially Sachin's last etc....

Maybe sachin should strap two bats to his legs instead of pads and then he cant be given out ;)

Sri Lankan commentators are so dull, probably along with the kiwis the worst in the world.

India 88/2 after 13 overs

with Veeru and Yuvi in middle Run rate should continue to fly upwards...

Mate it is time the bunny starts watching Yuvi on how to get away from being owned maybe next time Harbhajan will only get the bunny 3 times in a series when we lock horns next :)) ..

Harbhajan OWNS 10 times and counting :D......

Again Sachin was unlucky today the ball was missing leg stump quite much.

Why is Fernando still bowling in the international scene. Yuvraj looking in 20/20 South Africa form.

Er OK Romali.

Dilhara has tightened up considerably and got that run rate down to 8.66 runs per over from his bowling. And he bowled a couple of slower balls.

2/111 after 15 overs. Killing them.

Lucky Yuvi got Fifty, Fernando should stop playing for Srilanka for a while before he find the rhythm, he looks so ordinary today, no control of the line and length.

Beats me, every time I see him play he is the one bowler getting smashed all over the ground.

Maharoof just bowled the worst over I've ever scene, three half volleys on leg stump with you fine leg up. Idiotic stuff.

Lol Gamini De Silva Do Somethaaaaaaaaannnnnn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your Boys Are Getting Biatchhh Slappeeddddd You Cheating Lankannnn

Yeah just giving some helpful tips thats all, being OWNED 10 times is quite embarrassing I gotta say... THE BUNNY :)))

Batting powerplay, Mendis back. This should be interesting.

2/128 after 16 overs. Aiya.

Random Aussie said:
Of course you don't keep count of the ones that are wrong in his favour.
And rather than blindly speaking would you point those that went in his favor ?

OK have to get a stream now.

Mendis and Murali bowling to Sehwag and the YUVI :))) :))) who are going ballistic.

Classic moment.

Mendis is nothing but slow medium bowler treat him like that way instead of thinking him spinner which confused batsman earlier times but not anymore.

Mendis Phobia Destroyed by sehwag!

Not really, Sehwag has always been the one batsmen that hasn't feared Mendis. The rest are still questionable.

19.3 Muralitharan to Sehwag, FOUR, outside the leg stump, Sehwag gets to his half-century by just helping that very fine down the leg side

With their bowling the fielding has gone too, poor srilanka !!

Just confused here while following cricinfo ? The powerplay at discretion of Fielding Captain right ?

20.5 Mendis to Sehwag, FOUR!!, Fire! Sehwag absolutely murdered that back over Mendis's head, Sachin loved that from the dressing room

:D

The batting team can opt for 1 PP of 5 overs. India took it.

I heard Tendulkar was wrongly given out. I am really thankful for that lol. What a destructive partnership this has been.
