As Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches held in United Arab Emirates continue to enthrall and frustrate their spectators alike, among the stands one can also find Indian fans just as invested in the match outcomes as Pakistani fans back home.

Cheering on every boundary and wicket taken, these men take special time off from work to partake in all the excitement brought to them by PSL.

"All players have performed quite brilliantly so far," said an Indian man, who specifically praised Multan Sultans.

Talking about his favourite Pakistani players, the Indian spectator said Shoaib Malik and Wahab Riaz were his favourites.

When asked if they were enjoying the competition between the PSL teams, another Indian fan remarked "Yes, of course! That's why we are here."

Commenting on the need of such competitions between India and Pakistan, like they used to back in the day, the Indian fan said, "Sports can promote good relations between the two countries. There shouldn't be any politics involved."

"It should just be taken as a game which is enjoyed by both sides. This way relations can improve," he added.

There was a shared enthusiasm among all Indian fans who were attending the matches. They wanted the sport to be resumed between the two countries.

Also, they were of the view that the premier leagues of both sides should do away with restrictions barring players from one nationality to play for the other's league.

But I thought that Pakistan cricket was irrelevant and PSL was a poor and embarassing league :danish

India is a country with 1.3bill population.. Different people have different views and tbh majority of there people have bigger issues like getting 3 meals a day to worry about PSL or Pakistan series..

Then there are few who would enjoy playing Pakistanis and watch PSL like some on these forums..

Then there are some who are too anti Pakistan and would probably pressurise government to get PSL banned on Indian channel if it was in their hands..

Well its entertainment for the masses - workers coming to see a game of cricket.

I couldn't give two hoots about either the IPL or PSL. But a bilateral India - Pakistan series on the other hand *drool*.

Why are we so starved for Indian acceptance. However if its anything Pakistani, India has to be involved and vice versa. The Indians however in the Gulf aren't as anti Pakistani as they actually work with them and actually have a common connection. In a group of 6 desis, there is a possibility of 50/50 Indian and Pakistanis because interestingly they rate Bangladeshis below them and Sri Lankans are usually in their own groups.

:)) any kind of acceptance seems to be a cause for celebration.

When the oldies played in the USA, a couple of years back sure people who saw it felt nostalgic about Wasim,Shoaib,Sachin etc and enjoyed no matter what the quality of cricket was.

People went to watch despite the parking headaches, cost of tickets etc etc for those games because simple being a cricket starved fan living in a country where it is not played does that to you.

Doesn’t mean it was the pinnacle of cricket lol.

Pretty sure people regardless of nationality and in this case from a cricket crazy nation like India would go and watch any cricket game in a non cricketing country like UAE.

Hilarious to see posters chest thumping at this.

Shows any publicity or comment is valuable to make themselves feel better :))

If there is a random Ind-SL test match going on TV and if I get tickets to watch a random double wicket contest live with some washed up players in the USA, I will obviously go watch it duh

blue_champion i agree about the notion of fans just watching due to being cricket starved. (yes there prob are some indian fans there who would have watched the psl regardless).

man ind vs pak cricket matches are something else

especially in the era of 90s/2000s had greatest matches of all time

Think the only person getting excited is you!

Atleast they should had published names of those INDIAN FAN than just merely posting their statements....and the so called INDIAN FAN’s favorite cricketer is Wahab Riaz?lolz

If you watched that match in NYC with Aktar hurrying the likes of Sanga for pace (and destroying him), or Warne cleaning up Sachin and Lara, you would not have called it poor cricket. It was a joy to watch and there was definitely some good cricket on display :). Nothing compared to a Pakistan-India match, although it measured up some to a regular T20I between Full Members.

Most of us want it to happen. The only way I do see it happening is if Virat Kohli or someone of similar stature has the willpower and courage to go to a rebel tour to Pakistan (or UAE). Not seeing that happening yet.

And what about the rest of the players running around with huge bellies

This All Star series was such a shame and just had one motive to Make Money. Instead of hosting All star games inclusive of washed up seniors, they should include current players kinda like NBA style.

No player no matter how big of a player is will go Rebel against BCCI. Lastly, its not even BCCI that is stopping team India, but Central Govt.

Pipe dream... Why will anyone take that risk to play with Pak and lose career forever !

BCCI way is the only way for Indian players, not even player association exists for Indian players as per my understanding!

On the same lines, read recently about many expats turned up to watch ICE cricket where Sehwag, Afridi played...

I find no joy in watching any of these leagues. Haven't watched a single minute of the PSL thus far.

Random names teaming up for poorly named teams and an obvious lack of passion = The story of every T20 league in the world.

there is absolutely no need or necessity for players like kohli or othrs to play cricket against Pakistan opposing BCCI/GOI..they are blessed with superstardom and crores of contracts nd endorsements because of the support provided by goi and bcci and it makes no sense to rebel against them thattoo for playing cricket with Pakistan as neither Pakistan or pcb played any role behind their fame or money

Nah... Fans in India wait for IPL to start in every summer.

From last 10 years getting RCB match ticket is far difficult than any international match played in Chinnaswamy Stadium (personal experience as Bangalorean) !

lack of passion? Seriously? Have you ever seen chennai or bangalore or kolkata match in IPL?

They're rather more happy to see empty grounds everyday for the matches which is what makes them happier.

"Indian man" and "Indian fan" are my favourite cricket sources.

The look in the eyes of the second man in the video is cracking me up for some reason
