Lol, one can turn this around and spin this that Pakistani's have big hearts and give sporting wickets to both the teams so that they have an equal chance of winning.
We did play a WT20 at home in '16 and we couldn't win it despite being favorites.How long before all limited over games are moved to india aswell so they can cement their status as home track bullies and win some icc tournaments along the way
We are chokers in world events, where they are being held, doesn't matter to us.

What’s even more mind blowing is that there are probably only 2-3 tests asides from these where the opposition was even in contention by 3rd days end.
The 2 series losses which stands out from that list are against pre-1996 loss to SL and a loss to Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe were a very competitive side in the 90's but still no team should lose to them at home. SL turned into a beast in LOI's after the WC for a while but were still a ordinary Test side until late 90's. Strange to see a very strong Pakistan side losing so many series at home.

Insane numbers. That is because large contribution of spin duo Ashwin and Jadeja.Once their requirements i don't think india will this dominant force in test cricket.We are lucky to witness two greats of the game at same time.Enjoy till it's ends.

the quality of spin allrounders of india is so good that the test matches are not even lasting long let alone the question of winning.
what i am surprised is how has star sports not dictated terms to the BCCI to roll out a bit more flatter wickets to make the test matches produce result on 5th days. they do dictate ICC to get the schedule & timings of the tournaments to suit them. why haven't they been able to dictate bcci for 5 day pitches for more advertising revenue.

Ashwin/Jadeja the all rounders heroes of this home dominance. Real test will be when they leave. As ofar now Axar is there. Sundar has to work hard. Kuldeep is there. Ash and Jaddu are street smart. Ashwin can one fine day and completely come up with a new bowling action. They also bat exceptionally well in tough situations. Very hard to repalce these 2.

this was a atleast a 4 day pitch if not 5 day. India batted 140 overs.
It depens on opposition too.

Jadega is probably one of the best all-rounders to have played the game. He does everything so well.
India didn't play many series in that time, did they ? Most of them were 1 match series. If I recollect right, Eng and Aus toured only 1 time each in that period.
Not to mention that despite multiple tours, India did not defeat WI. Also India didn't defeat Pakistan. India did manage whitewashed vs SL (who toured a lot for times) and England.
Another aspect is the number of draws.

Axar can replace jadeja. But kuldeep can't bat like Ashwin.Most of the time Ashwin saved india with batting to , just like Sydney test.

Sundar’s batting is really underrated. He could easily be a batting AR. Kind of like Yuvraj, but in tests.

But I believe Kuldeep has a greater ceiling as a spinner than Ash, especially abroad. Axar is a Jadeja copy and Washi will be a batting AR. Play these 3 together will yield similar results as playing Ashwin, Jadeja and Axar.

As a combination it is very hard to replace Ash/Jaddu. If you look at Indian domestic India hardly produces notable off spinners anymore. Almost all top wicket takers are left arm spinners. shabaz is new one. Spinners have to be mentally tough and be prepared for long wicketless spells.

Hrithik Shokeen will fill in ashwin shoes. Also Jayant yadav is decent poor man’s ashwin.

Because as many Indian spinners have shown over the years and young Todd Murphy showed yesterday , speed through the air and accuracy are more important in Indian conditions.
Wrist spinners will rarely do better than finger spinners in India or anywhere else for that matter in Test cricket.

I think above all, it is Ashwin and Jadeja. They are all time greats, particularly in home conditions, and not recognized. Without them, Indian record would be quite different with a few series losses.

Wrist spinners do better in SENA as they get bounce.
Kuldeep already has a 5fer in Aus. He'll do good.

Not in the last 15 years or so. The best SENA spinners have been finger spinners. Only wrist spinner with a decent record in this period is Kaneria

I agree. Add Umesh to the mix and even without Bumrah we have a solid pace attack. We shouldn’t forget that India lost their first wicket at 77. Oz on the other hand began the tour at 2/2.

Shoaib Akhtar lamented that no Pakistani pacer has sought his advice while Indians like Mohammed Shami has been keeping in touch with him regarding fast bowling.
Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar feels Rohit Sharma’s Test career will only grow after his century in both the innings of his debut match as opener while pacer Mohammed Shami can become the king of reverse swing.
Akhtar also lamented that no Pakistani pacer has sought his advice while Indians like Shami has been keeping in touch with him regarding fast bowling.
“Rohit Sharma is hitting hundred after hundred and I have been saying that Rohit should be in the Indian Test team. Form here, he will become a great Test player. Rohit the Test player will grow bigger,” Akhtar said on his youtube channel.
Akhtar said that he once advised Shami, who played a major in India’s big win over South Africa in the first Test, to try and become a tearaway pacer while also using reverse swing as a lethal arsenal.
After India’s (50-over) World Cup disappointment, Shami called me up one day and said he was feeling sad that he could not do well for India. I told him not to lose heart but maintain fitness. The home series is coming and you will do well I said.”
“I told Shami that I want him to become a tearaway pacer, running through batting line-ups. He has seam and swing, besides that he has reverse swing which very few bowlers in the subcontinent have. I told him you can become king of reverse swing,” said Akhtar.
“Now, you see what he has done, he has got wickets from a docile pitch (in Visakhapatnam). I am very happy for him,” said the 44-year-old who took 178 wickets from 46 Tests between 1997 and 2007.
He said he was ready to give advice to the Pakistani pacers but nobody is asking for his help.
“Sadly, our Pakistani fast bowlers don’t ask me how they can improve their bowling but the Indian bowlers like Shami are doing that. It is a sad scenario as far as my country is concern.”
