India-Australia 1999 3-0 whitewash
- This was the last time the Indians looked very innocous in Australia where they were Tendulkar dependant and a toothless bowling attack.
India-Australia 2003-04 1-1 series tie
- Australia did not have the services of Mcgrath, Warne but the Indian batsmen i.e. Sehwag, Dravid, Tendulkar, Ganguly, Laxman really feasted on the Australian bowling attack and made regular scores of 500 plus. Overall that invincible Australian team badly under performed
India- Australia 2007-2008 2-1 Aus win
- Don't be fooled by the Australian win, they were helped by some atrocious umpiring from Bucknor in the second test and some controversial catches but that Indian team was pretty competitive and the series was a lot more competitive. The Indian team even had a very famous test win in Perth were the Australians boasted of firing out the Indian batsmen with pace, bounce and they even included Shaun Tait for that game. By the end of the tour the Indian team were feasting runs and the likes of Sehwag, Dravid, Tendulkar, Laxman started to feast on the Australian bowling.
This series was also marred by the monkeygate episode which i believe was the start of the Indian fight back against Australia and the message that Australians will no longer bully a subcontinent team
India- Australia 2011-12 4-0 Aus win
- This was a one sided Australian victory and you could tell that the Australian team had worked very hard with their preperations for this series and had drawn up plans on how to counter the Indian batting line up. You can also argue that the Indian batting line up of Sehwag, Tendulkar, Dravid, Laxman showed their advanced declined age and for many of these players, this was their last tour and they retired immediately.
The Indian bowling line up of Vinay Kumar was also a joke on this tour and Ishant was not the bowler he was on this tour.
India- Australia 2014-15 2-0 Aus win
- Indians actually could have won the first test match where they fell short by 30 runs while chasing a big target. They had a bad batting collapse in the second test match, but apart from that they were pretty competitive in the remaining test matches and the likes of Kohli, Rahane piled on runs for fun on this tour. Mitchel Johnson was very ineffective and was no longer the same bowler who enjoyed the purple patch in 2013-14.
India- Australia 2018-19 2-1 India win
- India were the better side and deserved the series win
India- Australia 2020-21 2-1 India win
- India were the better side and deserved the series win
Comments: Barring that 1999-2000 tour and the 2011-12 tour, Indians have been very good in Australia and they really raise their game up big time when touring Australia and its now shown with the disbelieving, timid attitude of the Australian team against them in the last 2 series.
