Imam-ul-Haq:
Plan a) pitch good length on leg stump and straighten, cue wicket celebration
Plan b) if plan a fails, bowl short down the leg size. Watch in amusement as his poor front foot movement makes it impossible for him to get in position quick enough and nick the ball down leg side
Plan c) pack the offside field since he likes driving towards covers. force him to skip down the wicket to your pace bowler

Fakhar:
Plan a) Angle a short of a length delivery across, keep 3 slips in place
Plan b) bowl full wide of off-stump, wait for him to skew to 3rd man
Plan c) bowl short wide of off, see plan b

Babar:
Plan a) Angle one in, hope for LBW
Plan b) Let him score a 100, wait for next ball for dismissal

Rizwan:
Plan a) bowl good length delivery, wait for across the line hack to mid on
Plan b) Bowl good length at the stumps, watch for him to fall over as he drive the ball with poor balance and nicks it

Maqsood:
Plan a) bowl short, force the pull shot
Plan b) bring spinner on, toss it up, wait for catch at mid on/off

Haider Ali:
Plan a) wait for batsmen to arrive at crease, through ball towards batsmen, wait for dismissal

Imad Wasim:
Plan a) bring pacer on, Bowl short

Asif Ali:
Plan a) see Imad Wasim

Faheem Ashraf:
Plan a) force him to play on the off at all times. Wait for either catch at mid off, extra cover or caught behind

100% agree with Rizwan’a plan

The drama will be over soon.

Rizwan gets out of trouble most times because he's got quick hands and a fearless temperament, but technically he's got terrible balance when playing the full delivery. I foresee a really bad patch coming up if he doesn't correct these technical issues

So far 2/4, didn’t know imam would invent a new way of getting out
DiD not expect such a strange approach from Fakhar though

Middle-order is still the issue.

In these conditions, the top-order will collapse.

A good middle order doesn't bow down to pressure.

Batsmen getting caught behind by the keeper or lbw early on in their innings in English conditions against a red hot Saqib Mahmood is understandable.

But i cannot for the life of me understand and tolerate why the likes of Fakhar Zaman and Sohaib Maqsood who have known problems against the short ball not been able to work on it even though these players have been around for 4-8 years.

Fakhar once AGAIN falls to the short of length angled across. See original post.

Will Babar get out right after the 100?

we seem to be the only team that has players with major weaknesses that are being easily exploited by the opposition.

RIzwan - Very leg-side dominant, looks to play almost every ball on the leg side regardless of whether it’s bowled outside of off stump or not. Doesn’t take advantage of the remaining balls in the over if he hits a 6 in the first ball.

Babar - struggles against spin, hardly looks to play any aerial shots in the PP. Always gets out at the wrong time (either too early or too late). When he bats, they usually start with spin now.

Azam Khan - can’t Keep, can’t play pace, his only strength is that he can attack spinners but he’s struggling against them as well. When he bats, they usually try to rough him up with pace.

Shadab Khan - Our bowling all rounder, he can play pace bowlers, but not spinners. Not an attacking bowler, way too defensive.

Ifthikar Ahmed - can’t play spin, his strength is attacking pace bowlers - maybe true 30 years ago but now he’s 5 years away from being a pensioner.

Shaheen Afridi - can’t bowl at the death.

Gone are the days when we had a player like Shahid Afridi who would go after every single bowler. He could attack spinners, fast bowlers at any stage of the match.

If we have a thread on this then merge it, but we seem to be the only team that has players with major weaknesses that are being easily exploited by the opposition.

True. And pretends to be a hero after hitting that 6 as if his job for that over and the match is done.
Looks pained if he gets out, constipated infact, as if that wasn't what was supposed to happen.

Who wouldn't when the best shot your world class batsmen has against spin bowlers is "tap right back to the bowler and show the teeth".

Azam Khan - can’t Keep, can’t play pace, his only strength is that he can attack spinners but he’s struggling against them as well. When he bats, they usually try to rough him up with pace.

Duck master. Less said, the better.

The only player in the team who is there only for his fielding.
And he duly does that by showboating acrobatic dives and making easy catches look difficult.

Ifthikar Ahmed - can’t play spin, his strength is attacking pace bowlers - maybe true 30 years ago but now he’s 5 years away from being a pensioner.

Probably a 45 year old trying to figure out how lucky he is for being selected for no reason at all.

Shaheen Afridi - can’t bowl at the death.

If his opening ball isn't the in-swinging yorker to try to hit the stumps, the rest of the 23 balls will be mediocre versions of his career.

Gone are the days when we had a player like Shahid Afridi who would go after every single bowler. He could attack spinners, fast bowlers at any stage of the match.

Afridi? He could do everything, but usually decided to walk back to the pavilion.

Fixed them for you.

These players have been loosing for far too long. It reflects on their body language and mindset.

The PCB and the selectors should have dropped some players brutally to make room for fresh young blood who would have gone into this tournament without any pressure of expectations

The only weakness I can see is that they are not trying hard. They just believe in QUDRAT KA NIZAAM i guess and don't want to try hard themselves.

Haris should have won the game on the first try but he took it too lightly and got smoked. The same is the case with Amir.

Your team is weak and will always remain weak if you have a guy like azam khan and IFFI chacha in the team who are good for nothing.
