Infosys CEO Vishal Sikka Resigns

Narayan Murthy is a hypocrite who wanted to be a communist, the hypocrisy is on different level, esp when he criticized IITs inspite of getting peanuts for his employees and overworking them.

Sikka was good and he semi turned it around, but almost seems very shady with his salary.

Good move, not that Murthy is any better. Sikka did move the company around but the pace of changes was too slow. Infosys needs to be more nimble in the emerging marketplace and their lacklustre record in the field of AI or even innovation is going to impact the company. They need more dynamic leadership, willing to get their hands dirty

Sikka was always a good project manager , but he dont know how to run a company . He may not have hurt the topline much , but the brand value and image did take a hit under him . Not just his salary , the severance packages offered to exiting employees also looked shady and justification was hardly convincing .. The Israeli company acquisition , where the whistle blower claimed the deal was overvalued to accommodate kickbacks , again was brushed under the carpet and no disclosure of the report
This was a company which was known for being transparent and I wouldn't blame the founders here , though they where a little immature in some cases it was for a valid reason and larger interest of the company .

Lets not forget his 2020 vision which has been a embarrassment for the company !!

Unfortunately with Sikka's departure, many good employees will also leave.

I have a friend who handles the Adidas account and is based out of Bangalore and Germany and he sure has some juicy stories to tell about the founders vs the management. I don't think I can paste them here though.

Yes his salary was a shady aspect, but Infy was never transparent not sure if it was diff before 2010,but since then they have been pretty bad,but yes I agree on some of the issues here ,wonder if Infy would survive long term, stable leadership matters so much for body shops.

why is the discussion going on reminiscent of threads which are political in nature

Indian IT firms are useless to work for unless they send you onsite for a feasible amount of time, the money they pay is peanuts compared to the actual market value for your profile.. Couldn't care less if these CEO's resign or do got kicked out the culture in all these MNC's is crap..
