Only interested in seeing how Gill, Mavi and Shaw does.

Shaw will not get a chance unfortunately.
 
KKR must play Tom Curran over Mitchell Johnson. Johnson isn't bowling as well as he would have liked to warrant selection as a pace spearhead in KKR. Curran is in the groove playing international cricket and hungry for wickets.

Gill and Shaw are wasted at 7 and 6. They are yet to acquire requisite skills for those positions in T20.
 
Not interested in match but hopefully Jason Roy does well again.He is my favorite batsman after umar akmal
 
Always love watching boult bowls.....such a great rhythm and action he has got
 
Nadeem is such a poor bowler. A total cannon fodder this guy is. Gives a lot of flight like its a Test match and gets smacked for sixes.

Umm..no...he has always been decent in IPL. An economy of 7 is GOLD for a spinner especially on these roads.
 
Nitish Rana is good talent. Not sure whether he can make it at the top level but a perfect player for IPL. Always maintains a good strike rate.

Looks good. Stanlake made him look like a fool the other day. Don't know if he can't face good pace or if it was a one off.

Stanlake is an awkward bowler to face even for the best of batsmen at the start. He did play well against pace last season, now watch how Morris is being taken to cleaners by him.
 
Looks like SHami didn't read the memo about not bowling full length to Russell
 
Shami getting destroyed by Russell. All length balls or slower balls.

Where are the Yorkers Shami? I know he bowls them well. Looks like his brain is not working.
 
India's next Kohli is gone for a poor shot again. This kid has to understand that it's not some U 19 game against Pakistan lil boys.
 
KKR shud stop this Narine crap . Move Uthappa and Rana one place up each. And accomodate Gill in place of current position of Rana.
 
Shami should just quit ipl and t20 format. Should work hard for test cricket and also 2019 world cup. He is destroying his little legacy he has in test and odi format.

What is he supposed to do? He came in 18th over with less than 12 balls to go. He had to throw his bat at every ball.

Promote Gill up the order and he will shine. He is not a power hitter at this point of his career. Does not seem to have enough muscle to clear the boundary against big boys.

I will still take someone like Samson over MS "Over the Hill" Dhoni.

Many legends have thrown their wicket with poor shot after becoming legends. Gill is a kid only now.

He can take his time to establish himself in international arena. There is no hurry as such.

Mate! You lost this argument the moment you brought up Samson vs Dhoni when the post was about Gill. If you had to really argue about Dhoni, I would have respected your counter post if you had posted it under relevant Dhoni's thread. why bring that topic here?
 
If Kolkata had either Yusuf or manish Pandey they would have been much more strong side.
 
Lets see what Pant is made of.

Lots of overs to play and lots of runs to score.

His run up is easy and bowls relaxedly. Yet the speed gun shows 140+.

Nagarkoti looks like an athlete. Sprite on his feet and skinny. If nagarkoti was bowling today, it would have given is a good idea of both youngsters pace.
 
KKR only weakness is little fragile middle order, otherwise a well balanced team , maybe try opening with Gill and narine , give them license to go after bowlers . Even small cameos will be effective. Then Lynn , Uthappa and Kartik at 3 , 4 and 5 would be more compact
 
Mavi is a good bowler hopefully can only improve from here..

Seems like we are back to our losing ways after a fluke win..

Finally common sense prevail
No watching how is mavi bowling?

India will be team to beat if they have exciting young express bowler and seems like nogarkoti or mavi can be the man
 
What a way to get out !! Seems like long hops are the fashion this year. Kohli ,ABD and now Pant
 
So if the performance in the IPL is anything to go by, we have excellent middle order batsmen in Pant, Samson, Ishan Krishan and potentially, Deepak Hooda.

Can we now kiss a final goodbye to Raina and Jadhav?
 
Pant throws it away yet again. He needs to learn from Samson who can score big 50's.

As of now, Pant huffs and puffs his way to 30's and 40's at 150 S/R. Not bad, but if he wants to make it big, he needs to do a bit more than that.

Pant and Ishan Kishan are in the same boat. Aggressive talented batsmen, but neither have a good head on their shoulders. They can only play in top gear or get out.
