They have pretty weak team and Gambhir's loud mouth (Earlier he at least had the performance to go with it, but now he is done & dusted) KKR were smart enough to understand that his time is over!
 
Two young guns will get opportunity today Avesh Khan and Prithwi Shaw, of-course we cannot judge from a single game but good to see them getting games.

Avesh is not an out and out fast bowler. If you are looking for pace from him in excess of 145k's, then you will be disappointed.

From what I know, he can clock 140k's and can keep it tight.

I agree you are a diehard Indian fan like me and other few here. At the same time you are also jealous of bowling in PSL, would you mind listing non trundlers played in PSL?
 
Wow! It really hurried onto Finch. Avesh just bowled one of the fastest balls this season. 148 case!

The hype is real it seems. Now I am excited to see how the other hyped stars Khaleel, Saini will bowl.
 
Thank God Boult is not Indian or else he would've been classed as a "useless trundler"
 
New generation of Indian pacers are very good with their fundamentals - run up, delivery stride, landing, front arm, follow through, seem position. Most of them are releasing almost aligned with off stick & then moving out of danger zone. It actually indicates lots of work had been done at academy, at an age when learning curve if stiff.

Man, this guy Finch is so ugly to see (as a batsman), when out of touch.
 
Avesh shouldn't be sad at this, Kl Rahul and agrawal are in unreal form this season, would've spanked even peak starc as well.

He needs to keep steaming up and breathe fire to get mass recognition.

No need to get worry about getting hit in a T20 match. KL Rahul is as big a challenge one can get.

Why would he be sad? Even boult and plunkett are getting spanked. Atleast avesh is troubling batters occasionally.

Not much. Saw him bowl once and he was around 140k's. Obviously his body developed and now he can bowl even quicker.

Avesh seems to be bowling too short today. Batsmen can pull him easily if they get used to his pace.

So we have Shami/Yadav/Bumrah/Avesh/Nagarkoti/Mavi.... All of them consistently clock 140 or above.

Even BK can bowl 140k these days and yet Indian bowlers are called trundlers.

You forgot Varun Aaron, Ishant Sharma, Khaleel and some more

Bro, even if we just talk of Mavi, Nagarkotti, Avesh and Khaleel, they are all capable of bowling 145+ and are pretty good bowlers as well. Shami, Aaron and Umesh , we dont even need to consider. I like this trundler brigade I say. Certainly not as faaaast as some Pakistani bowlers :P

Aaron is as good as gone. So cannot count him.

Ishant is 135-140k. I cannot count him.

Khaeel needs to be seen. Hope he gets his chance soon.
 
Taking cue from Junaids , Anwar Ali was clocked 167.8976 kmph on a high speed camera. Or was that a video played fast !! [MENTION=134300]Tusker[/MENTION]

No faith in Siraj and Thakur. They may show glimpses. But what I saw in nidahas was a disaster. They will be backups for backups if the mentioned pacers all get injured freakishly.

Not LOIs but tests. They have good stats in domestic
 
Happy that Avesh is not like other trundlers.

Really happy to see one genuine upcoming pacer.

Lot better than the Trundler bros & co.

Hope he makes at the big stage.

Fast, bounce and accurate. He got smashed by Nair and Agarwal a bit. But some edges also flew past the keeper.

Overall, very impressive start. He is definitely better than Thakur, Siraj and Unadkat who played in Nidahas Trophy.

I have hopes only from

Avesh
Nagarkoti
Mavi (if he improves his skills)

Other dozens of trundlers (no time to type that many names) should be thrown out of cricket.

But sad thing is I don't see either of these 3 making debut until 2020

I was concerned about having a one sided match . Luckily for me there was Amit Mishra
