Ireland Tour of Bangladesh (2025)

Ireland need 351 runs and they are 5 wickets down already...

Bangladesh closing in on a whitewash

If there was a test cup where Ban, Zim, Ire and Zim can play then Ban will win some non bilateral trophies

Taijul Islam became the first Bangladeshi to take 250 Test wickets. Congratulations. :inti

Ireland - 194/7 (69.2 overs).

315 more to win.

50 for Campher.

157-ball fifty. LOL. Epic tuk-tuk.

Ireland - 230/7 (77.3 overs).

279 more to win.

Ireland lose their 8th wicket. BD are 2 wickets away from completing a whitewash. :inti

Ireland - 237/8.

Campher is on 63* from 202 balls. Legendary tuk-tuk. :inti

Ireland - 263/8.

246 more to win.

Lunch break.

All over.

BD win the match by 217 runs. They whitewash Ireland 2-0.

This is the 5th time BD have whitewashed a side in Test.

Minnows Bangladesh only can win at Mirpur on doctored pitches.

What a pasting .

:klopp :kp

Great win for Ireland. They also played decent even though they were dominated in the Test matches.

Why do Bangladesh play T20s in Chittagong? Possibly the flattest pitch in the country.

T20s should be played in Mirpur or Sylhet. Otherwise, they may lose all games.

Playing in Chittagong simply means giving opposition an advantage.

Anyway, great win for Ireland.

Win or Loss in these bi lateral series does not matter as much. They should get as much practice as possible in flat pitch.

Main issue is BD batting against spin is really terrible at the moment.

These results matter too because winning is a habit. Also, rankings can affect qualifications sometimes.

They should try to win all games in international cricket. Practice should take place in domestic cricket.

Pathtetic Clown. U r arguing that bng will beat wi on batting pitches in t20 wc but u want doctored pitches against Ireland to win.

Bangladesh are awful at T20 cricket.

Their ranking in this format is perfectly justified and there's no comparison with the likes of West Indies currently.

BD won the series that mattered. They whitewashed Ireland in Test (2-0).

T20 is a hit or miss format. It is a format where upsets are common. Zimbabwe beat SL, Namibia beat SL, UAE beat NZ, Uganda beat Zimbabwe, Netherlands beat England etc.

Anyway, hopefully BD will come back and win the series 2-1. Let's see what happens.

What I dont get is why ICC always put BD in a tough group? At least, SRL got a relatively easy group this time around.

Agree.

Anyway, I am glad they put Windies instead of another tough team.

I think BD-Windies game is effectively a knockout game. Venue is Kolkata which I think will have a spicy pitch (not flat). Spicy pitch is good for BD.

Bangladesh are cooked as far as the WT20 is concerned. It's T20 so I guess anything is possible, but realistically speaking, I don't even see them beating West Indies in Kolkata. They don't have the batting to post imposing totals on flat pitches, and apart from a couple of bowlers like Rishad and Fizz, the bowling is not good either. They should focus on beating Nepal and Italy. It would be quite embarrassing if they lost to either one of those teams.

yeah exactly, no need to make spin mambas always. let players get exposed to different conditions.
