In my honest opinion,International football (Qualifiers) are way ahead of league football in terms of excitement. In club football you feel like there's nothing at stake for mid table teams like Stoke,Wolfsburg,Toulouse,Bilbao and they keep on ending up on mid table without even fighting for CL place or even EL place but I have to say Championship is really exciting because there is promotion at stake and also need to mention there are way too many stalemate draws in league which makes it quite waste of time and boring for us the viewers

After a blockbuster International football week,Club football returns with a 'high quality' draws

Premier League football has become a joke with the same sugar daddy owned teams winning each year with the exception of Leicester. Why watch a product where you already know the outcome ? They may have a bad season on occasion but Chelsea, Man City and Man Utd can simply outspend their competitors to get back up the ladder.

The big clubs have become greedy in stockpiling players so inequality within and between the leagues grow wider whilst the TV money has meant wages and transfer fees have spiralled out of proportion. A US-style salary cap is long overdue but the corrupt governing bodies are only interested in lining their own pockets.

Football as a whole has become too corporatised and gentrified. In England, the sport continues to lose touch with its working class roots and its reflected in the worsening atmosphere at grounds. Its sickening seeing the hordes of tourists and even local fans at Anfield more interested in taking selfies and recorded YNWA on their phones than singing. You hardly see any local players either so that connection between players and their city is lost and the inter-city rivalries lack authentic homegrown heroes.

Contrary to the Premier League propaganda, football wasn't invented in 1992. At least in the old First Division and the early years of the Premier League - there was genuine competition. A team like Nottingham Forest could spring from the Second Division and win the league. In the 1990s and early 2000s - before every season you had 5-6 clubs like Man Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool, Newcastle, Leeds and Chelsea who could all be considered title contenders.

Now here we are in October and already it appears to be a two horse race.

I lost interest with the club football because I felt no connection with the sides. Even the rivalries didn't make sense to me. Chelsea Arsenal have a London derby but there are four other London sides :/

Plus the rival sides were meeting two or more times a season. It kinda diluted the rivalry part. It's not like India vs Pakistan where there is a gap of two years or more between meetings and every victory is crucial for bragging rights.

I love watching international football though. The stakes are higher (because usually it is a world tournament that doesn't take place EVERY SINGLE YEAR)
