Is our fielding post Steve Rixon a concern?

We always had lame batsmen. Poor bowling lineup selection led to expected downs. But its the fielding which is concerning me the most. They are leaking runs, not trying hard to run players out and dropping sitters. Is this the result of Rixon's exit? Can no one else improve our fielding standards? There is no use of piling up runs when you're going to drop catches anyway.

Apparently Rixon gave the players danda and would take players to task for even one misfield and would point out inefficiencies in the field after a day in the field. It is true that we need a danda as a nation to operate
