Mcculum and Sanga both are playing for Lahore and Karachi and are also mentors for their respective teams. What th at means essentially is that they will be paid in addittion to what they are being paid as players, that is, aside from what category they are in. For instance, Sanga was picked in diamond, salary for that is $70,000, but he is a mentor as well so he can be paid more than that. And because he can be paid more than that, he was picked in diamond and Karachi Kings didn't have to sacrifice one of their platinum spots. This is one of the reasons why apparently he left Quetta for Karachi. Because they weren't and couldn't match the salary he was being offered by Kings because they already had a mentor and couldn''t sacrifice a Platinum spot.
So that's the disadvantage that Quetta got because of the fact that you can have player mentors and pay them more. So the question then is that, is this rule fair?
