Initially when we saw the pics and videos of protestors burning down the Corp commanders house and all, we thought they actually did, but there are rumors that say otherwise.

There is a rumor that orders were given to one group of the military to wear civilian clothes and to get the crowd to burn down the corps commander house in lahore.

The goal is to get PTI declare a terrorist party by the election commission, which would than bar them from fighting the next election. Imran Khan would not be able to fight this election and as he is 70+, this would be his last election.

If this is true, the establishment has played a very big game.

May be, but anyways elections are not happening so who cares. And no one in pakisan accepts PDM and army anoy more. Peope have understood the root cause now.

Its just a last ditch anarchist move to see what happens. The people running the show have zero sincerity with the country.

The establishment doesn't really know any big long term strategies. All these decades they have executed haphazard plans for short term gains, the nation suffers and the generals continue on their merry ways.

They'll come up with another half baked plan to send Pakistan further down a spiral.

They do not possess any sort of economic, social or political acumen...... simply spoilt elites in military attire.

But in long term, they will lose a lot. People have already figured out their role in politics and top decision making. Short term is ok that they will gain some weight and will diminsh IK and PTI effects on national politics. But long terms, they will be treated just like a trash by people of pakistan which is quite alarming and not good for a state like Pakistan. They will have to go in war with india and win it comprehensively in order to wash the dirt on their shoulders put by IK and PTI,

Be it 1971 Dhaka Debacle, Kargil War Mishap, the wave of terrorism post Pakistan involvement in War on Terror, multiple oustings of democratic governments, poor state of economy or bad ties with the neighbors. The Pakistan Establishment has always something to do with problems of Pakistan so is it solely their fault or the politicians also have a fair share of their own in this pie.

In the last couple of years, most people in Pakistan have realized that the military establishment plays most of the cards when it comes to making a government and it seems this trend is going to continue for the next few elections as well.
