More than tactical nuances, I found him to be extremely rigid. He was damn successful as SAF (& Domestic) coach, which eventually landed him onto one of the top jobs in cricket - Head Coach of AUS National team; and he had a tested formula of success, which perfectly fitted into his previous teams. Here in PAK, both teams he has managed are completely different in terms of skills and combination, conditions are even more, and there is a wide gap between the understanding of players mental capacity and his wave length ....but the guy is hell bent not to change, neither to learn.

Exactly he is rigid with his plans. If I am right even with Aus he struggled and his rigidness along with methods of coaching got him sacked.

Whatever success he has achieved with Pak team has been due to some young crop of players coming up which many people wrongly attribute to him.

It's about the platform - everyone is performing on a given stage. I don't think in any other forum, posters analyze so much about the skills, talent or potential of players based on T20 games like PP. T20s only and only purpose is absolute money making and it should be kept like that - you entertain people and give them what they want for short term pleasure, it should end there. Today's boundary size is smaller, so the score has gone to 230s from standard 170s .... as long as 2nd team is in game till 20th over, it should be fun.

So so true. Look at how many threads are made after a player does after 20 balls .
