I know that IU have already qualified for the past couple of games and have every right to rest their more important and impactful players.
However I think they may have missed quite a few tricks and also have been exposed in a few areas.
IU have had Ronchi in sublime form upfront who has given them explosive starts. Now that he has been rested with Duminy and Hales failing, the middle order could not cope with the pressure. Talat playing a lose shot, Misbah building pressure with his dot balls, forcing the other like Walton to play rash shots trying to accelerate.
The lower order/tail also failed to grasp a rare opportunity (given their top heavy batting order) with both hands when the going got tough.
I also was disappointed that Sahibzada wasn't giving a chance in the last couple of games, as it would have done wonders for his confidence ala Talat. PSL is a tournament to showcase youngsters and even though he isn't a finished product yet he should have been given a run in the past couple of games in his natural position to be able to make a case for himself.
