I know that IU have already qualified for the past couple of games and have every right to rest their more important and impactful players.

However I think they may have missed quite a few tricks and also have been exposed in a few areas.

IU have had Ronchi in sublime form upfront who has given them explosive starts. Now that he has been rested with Duminy and Hales failing, the middle order could not cope with the pressure. Talat playing a lose shot, Misbah building pressure with his dot balls, forcing the other like Walton to play rash shots trying to accelerate.

The lower order/tail also failed to grasp a rare opportunity (given their top heavy batting order) with both hands when the going got tough.

I also was disappointed that Sahibzada wasn't giving a chance in the last couple of games, as it would have done wonders for his confidence ala Talat. PSL is a tournament to showcase youngsters and even though he isn't a finished product yet he should have been given a run in the past couple of games in his natural position to be able to make a case for himself.

I think they done the right thing. They have already qualified as group winners so may as well rest your best players. But I do think they should have played Sahibzada Farhan.

I'm glad Misbah came to bat ahead of Hassian and Asif, his knock " helped" KK win the game.

Misbah should bat at #11 if they want to win the tournament.

Today he really struggled against Afridi. Lala was having fun with him, embarrassing... respect afridi for not celebrating after his wicket:salute

Misbah says that some of the players had niggles and needed a rest and that's why they were rested.

Didn't IU owner also say Shadab was fully fit

I wonder why he wasn't rested?

Uniteds biggest weakness is Misbah.

All the opposition needs to do is bowl a faster bowler when he's at the crease, he will eat up balls because he's an old man now who has trouble against the faster balls. This puts undue pressure on the rest and they collapse.

Multan only have themselves to blame, but if I was a Multan player or coach I would have been seriously annoyed when I saw that IU starting line-up versus Karachi.

There were 3 changes this match for IU I believe, so 8 of the 11 are from their first choice team. They won't feel as secure now, and would have lost confidence in their own batting. Karachi takes the momentum into Sunday, and will probably take down IU in the qualifier.

Highly doubt it, KK have a very unconvincing batting line up and only Shinwari and Afridi have stood up in the bowling department, hopefully it's a good contest though.

We can play who we want. We are through. It isn't out fault Multan is out . They had enough games to secure qualification. Only they be blamed. Our team was strong enough to beat Karachi. Maybe the motivation wasn't there , but line up was certainly strong enough to beat Karachi .

I feel Islamabad batting will falter again. Amir will finally make his mark in the tournament picking up few important wickets. I agree to that, I hope it's a contest and not one sided.

Islamabad were playing with a depleted side and without much conviction. However in the interest of the PSL I hope we get to see a cracking game on Sunday.

It was Misbah's mercy that saved KK today. Maybe he feels that the tournament would be poorer if KK didn't make the qualifiers
