Sad situation in a wealthy European country. Feel bad for our Sikh bros in India, they're enslaved in Europe but also have domestic issues in India such as the farmer suicide endemic in Indian Punjab.

Maybe recently but Pakistani Punjabis have been going to Europe for the past 60 years+ and many have them have found success especially in Scandinavia, Netherlands and Spain. I think it's Greece where the recent Pakistani migrants are struggling. All of these guys real goal is to go north cause Germanic Europe is far more advanced then the south.

Usually sikhs are well respected and they've created an awareness as to their distinct ethnicity, separate from simply Indian. Not befitting the usual stories of jaat jis.

They are looking for a better life, maybe they have it really tough in India. Don't know why we have to judge these people as slaves, seems to me they are undertaking such work voluntarily. They can always leave and go back to India if it's so bad.

Pakistanis in Germany are well educated even more so than us Pakistani-Americans, Pakistanis have been going to the best universities in Germany for many decades. As for Spain, the Pakistani community there is quite successful especially in Barcelona they're like the second biggest non-EU minority yet have low incarceration rates and nothing compared to North African migrants, there's also successful Pakistani business owners in Spain. Idk if you can call them illegals cause I heard Spain had provided many Pakistanis amnesty back in the 2000s.

My partner is from Spain and I have been going to spain since 2001 I think. Pakistanis in spain usually come through greece. They prefer spain over greece . Years ago pakistani had a good reputation in spain. We’re note involved in crime , drugs or prostitution like Moroccans or burglaries like the Romanians. However all that changed in 2008 with the economic collapse. The spanish government had to make cuts and after some auditing they found out an insane number of pakistani on unemployment who had jobs under table or were not living in Spain even while claiming. The right wing played on that also in the media. Second not many cases but there have been some cases where pakistani men married to a Spaniard have taken the daughter back home without consent . This has given a negative image of pakistani men also. However the biggest complain my spanish friends have about pakistanis is that they don’t integrate. They don’t don’t mix. The Spaniards find that offensive. On another side ( one of my spanish friend is a sociologist who works with immigrants in Barcelona). Most Pakistanis speak Spanish and even Catalan which is impressive as some Catalans don’t speak Catalan language. There is a great documentary on Pakistan is in Catalan on YouTube

Afaik rural Canada employs a lot of people from the Caribbean on a seasonal basis.
