Job satisfaction versus a higher salary

Does anyone here truly love their job? Like you would look forward to going to work after few off days? If yes then I envy it since I have never felt that about work ever in life. I mean don’t get me wrong; I am not miserable in my current role but I never feel any sentiment toward it. It’s just a job and I don’t give a —— once I get out.

I prioritize job satisfaction over a higher salary.

Salary is important but I give higher priorities to friendly co-workers/managers and work-life balance.

I don't want to ruin my mental health in pursuit of a higher salary.

Job satisfaction is a great plus, but salary increments are indeed part of this deal 🤝

Yes. Best job would be the one that has everything.

I prefer to avoid a toxic workplace.

Not fun to work with toxic managers/co-workers.

How are the salaries in your market, dont have to say the figure, but has it increased to near enough inflation increases or higher - or stayed decently behind.

Here in UK, the job market is bad and so is the salary for majority of jobs, most industries salaries havent increased with the inflation rate, i can remember the news saying few months ago - that UK salaries are at the same point as we earrnt in 2014.

I don't know much about UK salaries but Google showed Canadian salaries are better than UK salaries. However, costs are higher in Canada. So, it kind of evens out compared to UK.

I am in Toronto. A standard admin/clerical job typically pays $40,000 CAD - $60,000 CAD yearly in Toronto. Government jobs pay more.

Minimum wage is $17.60 CAD here.

Professionals in certain fields earn more but $40,000-$75,000 seems to be the standard salary range for most jobs.

Here is the currency conversion rate --> 1 GBP = 1.85 CAD.

Wages barely increased compared to 10 years ago. Prices have gone up a lot. Living standards dropped.

Job market is worse compared to 10 years ago.

I guess same as in UK.

a good working environment means a lot... Good coworkers, no toxicity, good pay package with increments and bonuses, always boost the employee to do their job with sincerity.
