I just realised Bairstow was batting without any stickers yesterday.

Is this anything to do with the headbutt incident? Has he lost his sponsorship deal?

Can't remember whether he was batting with stickers or not in the first test.

He split with Adidas just before they departed for Australia so can't have been anything to do with the Bancroft 'incident'.

Well maybe he wants to let this pass. Not the best of times to get a 'good' sponsorship deal.

One of the least discussed/talked/written about aspects of cricket. The Bat sponsorship. I don't think much information exists on what kind of $$ deals the players get from bat sponsorship. Who has the biggest $$ and who does it for nothing (not sure if there are any).

Sunny Gavaskar is a vocal advocate of having your bat manufacturer sticker if you don't have a sponsor. I think JB should do that. Will help the manufacturer.

The bigger scandal is why the likes of Bayliss and Root have shunned him down to bat at number 7 when clearly he is the second best batsman in the team. It's almost as if Bayliss wants to win the series for the country of his birth. Utterly mystifying.
