KAAN (Old Turkic: 𐰴𐰍𐰣)[1] is a masculine given name and surname of Turkic origin, meaning "ruler", "King of Kings" (alternatively spelled as Kağan, Khagan or Hakan, meaning "Khan of Khans").

At launching of PNS Tariq today in Karachi. One Turkish official said during this month Pakistan and Turkey would conclude a deal for Pakistan's joining of KAAN project. He also stated that 200 Pakistani engineers and workers are working at KAAN project.

Its maiden flight is scheduled to take place in December 2023

This jet looks like a real deal and should prove a great addition in the armoury of Pakistan Air Force.

All defence purchases are backed by favourable credit terms. Buy now and let it be paid back by future generations.

The problem with the Turkish bird it that it's still in MoU phase and induction of the production run is years away. Plus there's a major stumbling block, ie. American permission. This will likely meet the same fate as the T129s Turkish helicopter deal. Promises on paper that were never fulfilled because Uncle Sam said NO.

Rather aim for Chinese fighters that are readily available, 'stealth' or otherwise.
 
Buying fighter jets to ground them in some hiding space is not worth it for an already financially struggling country. Need to see your country's situation first.
