New Zealand won the one-day series against Pakistan 3-2 recently in the United Arab Emirates and now have won the hearts of Pakistani's by donating their match-fee to the affected families of the deadly Peshawar attack on an Army school.

As many as 142 people, mostly children, lost their lives in the attack. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) wanted to postpone the fourth One-Day International (ODI) but had to play it due to the broadcaster’s commitment and advised from New Zealand team management.

The donations by the Kiwis were handed over to Pakistan’s premier batsman and former captain Younis Khan, who revealed that even the Black Caps were really sad about the incident.

“New Zealand players and officials have handed over some donations and kit bags to me which will be delivered when I’ll go to Peshawar,” Younis revealed.

“Kiwi skipper Kane Williamson has given all five ODIs match-fee while fast-bowler Adam Milne gave away his income of one match. Similarly their team manager has also donated for the families which have been affected in the attack. I’ll hand over those things personally and through Pakistan Army soon on my visit.”

Both Younis and stand-in skipper Shahid Afridi admitted that it became really difficult for Pakistani players to focus on the matches after the massive tragedy.

Kane Williamson is one of the nicest people you could ever wish to meet.

He is so humble, so friendly and so down to earth !

Massive Respect to them! Williamson seems really soft spoken and humble from the interviews, a very down to earth person I'd imagine.

Surprising how people find a way to whine even in a positive thread like this. Guess some can never let a thread be without negative comments.

Wonderful gesture by these 2!

Wonder what some of the pak players.have done

Except wanting to pull out instead of playing and donating

Again, these are high times that we put our differences aside and stay united.

I may have my differences with some players due to the way they play their cricket; however, during this time, I would not try to assume negative stuff.

Let's be positive. who knows if the pak players have done 10 times more than you and I did, but they don't wanna make it public?
So lets stay united in these tough times.

As for the Pakistan players, some will do what they can quietly, whilst I'm sure others may announce what they have contributed or will contribute.

I think Pakistani cricketers should learn from them. Awesome by Kane. Donating match fee of 5 ODIs!! Very well done by others as well. Pakistan thanks you.

Great guys. Amazing role models for kids.
If we are knocked out of the WC, Pakistan is my second favorite just for Misbah.
Kiwis are my favorite for Kane.

Respect to Kane.
all 5 matches fee not a small amount
NZ all of sudden became my 2nd fav for WC 2015

Williamson is definitely a gentleman !

Brilliant stuff from the kiwis ! Huge respect !

Such a wonderful guy Williamson. He basically played all five matches for the Peshawar victims

Well, something like that is always appreciated.
Didn't expect that coming from Adam Milne, though. He's so young into international cricket, and hasn't play an awful lot of matches and still has a big heart.

Adam Milne keeps getting into my good books. Respect for Kane as well.

kate and milne both are exiting players. Actually watching Milne bowl is very exiting. Both are very lovely human being with a big heart.

Nice gesture from Kane.

Here's the shirt that he donated.

Kane Williamson fast becoming one of my favourite cricketers. Seems very reserved when he talks but the fact a young man such as himself donated his entire series earnings is heart warming

Pakistan to face Kane Williamson again.

Top guy !

Top top bloke Kane is. Not many will donate the match fees of an entire series for a cause. Probably the nicest guy going around in world cricket. Good on Milne as well. Would have loved to see him play the test series, unfortunately he has not got the body for it.

Wow.. Never saw this before, respect for both is through the roof now, was already a big Williamson fan.
