Karachi Kings defeat Multan Sultans by 5 wickets in 24th match of PSL 4

Afridi just simply has to open the inning. He is being wasted at the lower order. He will provide a decent start to multan.
 
I hope KK will produce a better performance in this Clash of duds.
 
Under the assumption that Karachi win tonight and win one of their games against Zalmi or Quetta, and on the other hand Lahore win against Islamabad and one of their other games, then I believe Play-Off 1 will be Lahore vs. Karachi in Karachi. Arguably biggest match of PSL to date!

On the other hand I hope Karachi can sort out their bowling, hasn't been too fab this season, furthermore, we need to make sure our middle order is also performing.
 
MS are already out and surely will just go through the motions.

Why is he always unfit for the PSL? Knew he shouldn't have played a full BPL just before the PSL.
 
How can Afridi not playing, its a do or die game. Hopefully It will be the end of Malik Captaincy career. Pathetic approach towards the game, cant remember players name, come across unserious about the game. No wonder multan had played careless cricket so far. MS should look to appoint young captain for the future.

The new owners didn't have a say in the selection of the squad and didn't have enough time to properly plan for this new season.
 
Munro has done nothing in this PSL to merit his place in the 11. Would have rather played Dunk as an opener and as a WK.
 
This Umer kid is very clever bowler and the best spinner in this PSL so far.
 
Umpiring has been awful. Don’t even know basic rules :facepalm:
 
Hamad Azam has regressed so much , he looks a very mediocre player , in fact a notch below that
 
Multan sultan journey end tonight unfortunately. Never found a right combination in this tournament.
 
hopefully shinwari won't be picked due to this performance. A rubbish bowler.
 
Sultans have been very very disorganized this year , so this is the end of journey for them

if i am going to see the likes of malik, shinwari & co might as well not go to the world cup matches. Didn't buy tickets to see rubbish like these to be selected.

Can't do anything about it. Mickey has invested in these guys and will stick to his guns. Also the last tourney for many players.

Lets just hope these guys get something special out of them and perform for Pakistan.

The best you can hope from someone like malik against a good side is a painstaking 30 odd.
 
Shinwari will win us 1 match and have us loose 4. Malik is useless.

Ideally we need to stick with this 11.

Haris Rauf can be usefull in the death bowling 2 3 over spells in between overs 38-50. Hassan Ali can share the new ball with Shaheen and Faheem as the first change.
 
What you need is match winners and thats what the below lineup provides with Fakhar, Asif Ali, Hassan Ali and Haris Rauf. Shaheen is a decent bowler and Faheem can bowl decently - I would pick him over Imad as a bowler. Babar and Umar Akmal can be useful in the middle overs to rotate the strike and hit the boundaries.

Looked decent in domestics. This is why PSL is a great filtering mechanism to find the players who can take it a notch up when stage is bigger.

However, I think playing his 2nd game Irfan must be a bit nervous but he should be taking these opportunities.

He is palying 2nd game should have done better. I am not convinced, Zafar Gohar shown us in his first game.

Yes Zafar is definitely a proven performer for sometime and one of the best spinners of the bowl we have. He should have played over Bilal Asif in tests against Aus and NZ in my opinion.
 
Get Abbas in for the WC squad.

Will do wonders on the flat pitches in Eng.

His fielding is a big issue for Mickey's LOI squad. A lot of bowlers are coming through so its gonna be really tough for selectors. Aussies ODI will tell us who is in the radar for the WC.

That Irfan is a slow left arm spinner with a lot of FC matches who is also decent but, this Irfan (Leggy) was mostly talked about.

My picks are:
1) Abbas
2) Hasan
3) Shaheen
4) Hasnain/Rauf
5) Shadab

Amir doesn’t make the team on merit, he isn’t performing in ODIs lately.

With this bowling lineup, nobody stands a chance scoring 300+.

Everything gets covered, seam and swing, length balls and bouncers.

Shadab to provide spin, with Malik/Hafeez chipping in.

Damn Abbas bowled well.

Amir, Hasan, Shaheen and Faheem are probably locks for the World Cup.

I'm guessing Amir and Hasan (unless Faheem is 3rd pacer) will start every game in WC because they can bat at 9/10 and field well.

That leaves either Shaheen at 11 or one of Junaid/Rauf/Abbas. Those three should get the full Aus. series to battle for that spot. All of these guys are liabilities with bat & in field. So only one of them plays.
