Pakistan should give some of the untried players a chance against Kenya who have lost both their matches so far.

Pakistan team

Salman Butt, Imran Nazir, Younis Khan, Shoaib Malik, Fawad Alam, Misbah-ul-Haq, Mohammad Hafeez, Kamran Akmal, Abdur Rehman, Umar Gul, Shoaib Akhtar

Rehman, Alam and Hafeez all given a chance today.

Shoaib takes an early wicket. Kenya 5 for 1

Afridi and Asif the notable names being rested for this fixture

Kenya 5/1 already

DO Obuya edges Shoaib to 2nd slip

Rehman, Alam and Hafeez all given a chance today.

Afridi. Asif and who else has been rested today?

Gul bowls a maiden

Kenya 5/1 after 2 overs

Seems like the Pakistani pacemen are too quick for the batsmen

neither batsman off the mark, despite facing 14 balls between them.

Shoaib bags another one. Kamande scoops the ball to Sallu at mid on

Kenya 7/2 in 3 overs (and in total disarray)

Collins Obuya, who if I remember correctly had a stint with Warwickshire after a good World Cup (the one before the last one)

Shoaib gets driven to the long-on boundary by Mishra. First authentic boundary of the innings

Kenya 19/2

Shoaib Akhtar (rf) 3.0 0 22 2 7.33 (5nb, 0w) . Shoaib needs to watch NB,5 already ouch.

Shoaib has to control his no-ball problem. Free hits can be vey costly in T20 cricket

Gul, 3 overs for 7. Impressive stuff.

Fawad Alam takes his first international wicket.

32 for 3

Shoaib's economy rate is a concern ... especially given the fact Pakistan are playing against lesser teams like Bangladesh and now against Kenya ... yes he has picked up wickets but in this form of the game a low economy rate for bowlers is crucial too.

Rehman strikes in his first over. Akmal with the stumping.

39 for 4

No Tikolo for Kenya today.

9.2 Abdur Rehman to Suji, OUT, cleaned up trying to sweep astraight ball
AO Suji b Abdur Rehman 4 (8b 0x4 0x6) SR: 50.00

13.5 Younis Khan to Obanda, OUT, steps out and misses and Akmal takes a clean stumping
A Obanda st Kamran Akmal b Younis Khan 5 (17b 0x4 0x6) SR: 29.41

14.4 Mohammad Hafeez to CO Obuya, OUT, bowled going for quick runs,he tried to hit it to mid wicket but straight onto his stumps
CO Obuya b Mohammad Hafeez 17 (23b 0x4 0x6) SR: 73.91

16.6 Mohammad Hafeez to Onyango, OUT, steps forward again and he too misses the ball and Akmal does the rest
LN Onyango st Kamran Akmal b Mohammad Hafeez 4 (8b 0x4 0x6) SR: 50.00

A dismal performance from the Kenyans without their skipper and best batsman Steve Tikolo.

Ravindu Shah is also not in the current squad, in order to give youngsters a chance.

17.1 Younis Khan to Bhudia, OUT, bowled on the middle stump attempting to slog out
RL Bhudia b Younis Khan 9 (9b 0x4 1x6) SR: 100.00

70 for 9, as Akmal gets his 3rd stumping of the innings

I'd open with Fawad and Misbah, just to give them a chance and some practice

if he does, then he'd better go into hiding :D

Kenya are a mere shadow of a team of yesteryear which use to be decently competative.

This tourney for pakistan should have been all about experiementing and looking to work at certain plans.

92 all out.

Younis Khan takes 3 wickets.

19.4 Younis Khan to Ongondo, OUT, flighted ball that is spooned to Rehman at long ff to take the catch and finish off Kenya
PJ Ongondo c Abdur Rehman b Younis Khan 16 (7b 1x4 1x6) SR: 228.57

Looks like Younis Khan has filled his boots today with the ball.

I agree with Saj those who havent had much time in middle should bat today chasing this lowish total.

Malik was forced to bring on Spinners due to slow over-rate,remember its 20/20 only 75 minutes/innings and pakistan didnt finish in time

thanks to yorkshire for giving confidence to younis to bowl again after the nitemare of craig mcmillan!

I really dont understand the logic of Malik opening today.

Malik and Hafeez open

Well I can understand that Malik would want to spend more time at the crease as he isn't in full batting form yet. I mean, with the likes of younis khan and 2 other guys ahead of him, how else would he get a chance to bat.

nice footy formation from Hafeez there, 4-4-2

He had a chance last match and wasted it.

perfect opportunity to blood Alam and give him some confidence.

Hafeez gone, caught at mid on.

Misbah walks in, with his team in trouble :)

well i suppose its a good chance for Misbah to spend some time out there in the middle, with the run-rate not being a problem at all
