I am sort of a 'softs' guy as well so after buying gloves of nearly all brand the one brand that was untried was Kookaburra. So after looking at there stock I decided to go for Kookaburra Kahuna Players gloves because of Kangaroo Palm as that is something totally new to me and I have never tried that.

The gloves took a while to reach me because there was a dispute by Canada Post and then I was away so didn't get to use them for a while. Anyways, so when I got the gloves on the game day I wore them right away and used them in my last game for the season.

Coming onto the gloves they offer brilliant protection and for the amount of protection they offer they feel quite light whereas I was expecting them to feel a bit heavier than other gloves but to my surprise they weren't heavy as I was expecting them to be. The comfort level is up there with the best ones and the fitting is brilliant too! Since I am Asian the UK Mens turn out to be tad bigger for me but the fitting on these is better than other UK Mens gloves I have. Since these Kookaburra gloves are not split design so they would require little of breaking in as expected but when I first used them I never felt they required breaking in and they went extremely well and the flex etc everything was superb.

I was a bit disappointed with the Kangaroo Palm as it was not what I was really expecting, I had imagined and thought Kangaroo Palm would be soft etc. I am not saying the palm is not good, it is very good and must be good hence it has a high price tag but if I compare it to English Pittard Palms then I would prefer English Pittard Palms as they feel a bit more softer than this. Currently this Kookaburra Kangaroo palm look a bit stiff, this could be due to the fact they are brand new and require playing in? But I'm not too sure if that is the case or not but to be they didn't feel as soft as English Pittards that I have worn in past for the first time. I hope I am proving wrong over time.

Please don't hesitate to ask me any questions.

Enjoy the pictures!

Even after a period of time it won't 'break in' or get softer?

agree with langer.

It will break in (become accustomed to your hand) but wont get really soft.

its a diff kind of tough leather feel with it. One of my mates has these and didnt like it but another guy in the team loved it and bought these off him.

CD bro, ur dad super rich or something?

I always thought K leather was quite soft, going by football boots made of them like the adidas World Cup/Copa Mundial, compared with Taurus leather at least.

Ah okay I was really expected it to be softer than English Pittards, I also noticed that Kangaroo Leather was thinner compared to English Pittards which is on like Newbery Gloves.

I agree the feel is different and it is not same feel of leather.

I wish and pray that he is super rich but he is not to be honest.

I thought there would be something extremely special in Kangaroo Leather considering the price tag they have.

Like cricketismylife says, they will break in, but will never be as soft as English Pittards.

Most people just buy the one set of gloves, as that is usually all they can afford or want to spend, and obviously they want them to be comfortable, but I would say more important would be that they actually want the gloves to last a while. So the Kangaroo leather gloves should last longer, should be brasin resistant, and still give plenty of grip later on in their life, whereas English Pittards are super soft, but lose life much quicker.

I personally would buy the Kangaroo leather gloves as I sweat quite alot, and even with inners, I sweat through to the gloves after 15-20 overs or so on a 27-30 degree celcius day but it's the humidty that kills you in Qld, constantly around 90-95% in summer, which makes the air really heavy, and if it's overcast, then it's that much worse. So wouldn't get much life out of the softer gloves.

That's my opinion, but I've never had a pair of gloves that have had either Kangaroo or English Pitards leather, so I can't comment on exactly how long they would each last.

Absolutely true. The SS Millenium Pro gloves I had were brand new and I only used them in my indoors during off season and they were brand new when I started to use them, however, now when I wear them I feel they are near the end of there life because they are quite rough from inside and the grip is not there anymore. So I see your point and do agree with the fact that English Pittards have a much short life span in comparison to other leather palms and Kangaroo Leather.

I used to use inners but now I prefer batting without inners. However, I really don't sweat much as a normal person does but my point is as you said is that English Pittards doesn't last very long.

I would be very happy to see these Kangaroo Leather lasting much longer as I want to make it worth each penny :)

PS: When are your Kookaburra CCX Pro gloves arriving?

If you don't like them I could possbily take them off your hands :D, ahah

Haha nice one mate ;-)
