She tendered a weak and insincere apology after seen to be making a threatening comment to a pregnant journalist in the video above after losing her cool when asked why she is happy to be at the forefront of the Free Nazanin campaign but won't acknowledge human rights abuse committed in Bangladesh by the government regime headed by none other than her aunt Sheikh Hasina.

Pressure is mounting on Tulip as the matter reached Parliament last night.

Double standards of tulip siddiq in evidence.... taking up the case of a British Muslim abducted by the security services of her aunt's security services in Bangladesh doesn't do much for her career progression I suppose

If she has any decency, she would take up the case of the guy abducted in Bangladesh.

I was laughing at her futile attempts to see some holes in the situation.

First she asks if he is he British followed by if the guy was from her constituency

The worst was her feigning ignorance about the case when she very well knows who he is. His mother has written to her literally begging for help.

I'm glad that her opportunistic and hypocritical ways are being exposed. She is simply using the Free Nazanin campaign to boost her profile within her party. Her team have distributed leaflets featuring Richard Ratcliffe, husband of Nazanin, asking for residents to vote for Tulip. When a newspaper ran a story about the campaign without mentioning Tulip, she personally called up the editor to complain.

Hopefully, the Labour party takes action against her.

To be fair, the Free Nazanin campaign has been getting huge coverage in the mainstream media, so as a politician, she does get a lot of brownie points for attaching herself to it. This other guy I have never heard of, and I read the news daily.

It is her relation to the Bangladeshi regime which is disturbing, because if that is the reason she won't take up the case, that is despicable. She herself is saying her concern is British citizens, so she should be putting that at the top of her agenda above any familial ties in Bangladesh.

The present govt has this nasty habit of picking up certain opponents/anti-Indian thinkers/journalists/activists, with some of them returning all confused or never returning at all. The present missing case is nothing new
