The top 2 teams will meet in a repeat of last year’s final.

Who’s coming out on top?

It will be interesting to see if Rizwan can emulate his batting partner for the national side in the final.

Would love to see him man up and face the first ball against Shaheen

He will if he’s chasing 180 will look for that 50 of 40 balls which will leave his team mates too much to do.

Rizwan needs 7 runs to pass his friend Babar to become the highest run getter of this PSL, and only 6 runs to tie it.

Who will win Hanif Cap this season?

Rizwan, for sure, will off to a slow start tonight. He will be against the eagle in his home ground, who likes to strike in the first over.

I wonder who will take strike, the newbie Usman Khan or veteran-captain Rizwan?

Exciting times for record books. Opening moments of the PSL Final.

Babar has to buckle up watching from his home.

Multan Sultans have been a great team, made it to the last three PSL finals (including this year). Muhammad Rizwan, he may not be a T20 Batsman, but he is for sure a great captain.

Lahore, I remember when I heavily followed PSL in the first four seasons supporting Qalandars, they came last place in all four seasons. But they have turned it around recently, and will play in their third final too.

I think Multan Sultans will win PSL 8, aka the worst ever PSL

Pathetic crowd for a final and closing ceremony

Lahore Qalandars win the toss and opt to bat first

Lahore team unchanged.

Floodlight failure.

Delayed start it seems.

Lets hope for a good game, and the team that plays best wins without too much luck involved or poor umpire decisions.

MS have bowling attack as good as LQ with the exception of Rashid Khan. Batting wise I think MS are better too.

Why doesn't Khushdil tuck his shirt in or wear a cap? Looks like a village cricketer.

Like all desi events - the PSL final starts late :)

Baig in good form right time for LQ.
Cotterell is experienced enough not to be under pressure.

Baig:

Play and miss
Smash ball for 4

Repeat and repeat.

Shell shocking start this

Rizwan should try an offie against Fakhar

Perfect start to calm the nerves of LQ

Ball is swinging too

Shaheen will be licking his lips

Still do not understand why MS do not use Ihsanullah with the new ball…

Excellent atmosphere in the stadium and a good start for Lahore.

Fakhar needs to find a way to rotate strike to get him going.

Anwar ver good lengths. Hes bowled well like this throughout

Fakhar clearly conscious about his poor outings recently

not taking risks

This is starting to get poor from Fakhar

MS creeping back into this contest

Fine shot from Fakhar.

He's been terrible so far and has wasted a lot of balls.

Awful from Fakhar...more frustrating opener than either Rizwan and Babar... nearly ran out Shafique as well....

This is why Fakhar isn't suited for opening. He'd be a better number 3 or 4 because he struggles against the harder new ball when it's doing a little bit.

Can everyone please not post how x y z is better or selfish, it ruins the thread. Just comment on what you are viewing and your impressions please.

He is in 5th place in those who are fighting for 2 spots.

1. Rizwan
Daylight
2. Babar
3. Saim
4. Haris
5. Fakhar

Fakhar should bat in the middle. Saim and Haris have a chance to usurp Babar in the Afghan series

Saim Ayub
Muhammad Haris
Fakhar
To be confirmed (but certainly not chacha)
Azam Khan
Imad
Shadab
Muhammad Nawaz
Shaheen
Naseem/Amir/Haris Rauf/Zaman Khan
Ihsanullah
