Lisa Marie Presley, the only child of rock'n'roll legend Elvis, has died aged 54, her mother has said.

"It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us," Priscilla Presley said.
Lisa Marie, also a singer, was rushed to hospital earlier on Thursday. Media reports say she had cardiac arrest.

She was found unresponsive at her home in Calabasas, California, sources told US outlet TMZ.

"She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known," Priscilla Presley said in a statement.

"We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss,"

Her mother gave no details about the possible cause of death.

Sources close to Lisa Marie Presley told TMZ that she had suffered a "full arrest" before a bystander administered epinephrine - commonly known as adrenaline - to help her regain a pulse.

Born in 1968, Lisa Marie went on to follow in her father's footsteps and forged a career in music. The star released three albums, with her 2003 debut studio album selling hundreds of thousands of copies and receiving generally positive reviews.

The star was also well known for a series of high-profile marriages to pop legend Michael Jackson, actor Nicholas Cage and musicians Danny Keough and Michael Lockwood.

She had three children, including the actress Roxy Keough. Presley's son, Benjamin Keough, killed himself in 2020.

Presley was last seen in public on Tuesday night at the Golden Globes Awards in Beverley Hills.

Accompanied by her mother, the pair were seen breaking down in tears as they watched Austin Butler win the Best Actor prize for his portrayal of her father.
During an emotional speech, the actor thanked the Presley family for their help during the film.

"Thank you guys, thank you for opening your hearts, your memories, your home to me," Butler said. "Lisa Marie, Priscilla, I love you forever."

RIP Lisa.

As a Michael Jackson and Elvis fan, I always loved Lisa so this news hit me hard. This is so sad.

The Presley name now consigned to history.

Lisa Marie Presley will be buried near her father and late son at the family's Tennessee estate, Graceland, according to a family representative.

The singer, who died after reportedly suffering cardiac arrest in her home Thursday, was 54 years old.

She was the only child of the "King of Rock 'n' Roll", Elvis Presley.

"Lisa Marie's final resting place will be at Graceland, next to her beloved son, Ben," a representative for her daughter said.

Presley's son, Benjamin Keough, took his own life in August 2020 aged 27.

In one of her final posts on social media, Presley shared an essay she wrote for People Magazine about her struggle with grief after her son's death.

"I've dealt with death, grief and loss since the age of 9 years old. I've had more than anyone's fair share of it in my lifetime and somehow, I've made it this far," she wrote. "Death is part of life whether we like it or not — and so is grieving."

She is survived by three daughters - Riley Keough, an actress, and twins Finley and Harper Lockwood - and her mother, Priscilla.

A public memorial service has been held for Lisa Marie Presley following her death at the age of 54.

Famous faces including the Duchess of York attended the service, which took place at her father's Graceland mansion in Memphis, Tennessee on Sunday.

The US singer, who was the only child of Elvis Presley, died on 12 January, hours after being taken to hospital.

Lisa Marie has been buried at Graceland next to her son Benjamin Keough, who died in 2020.

She was a walking talking time bomb who never found peace. Not only was she heavily in to alcohol and drugs but suffered from many illnesses too. Being a child of a massive celebrity also comes with many problems.

Priscilla Presley, rock'n'roll legend Elvis Presley's ex-wife, has filed a legal challenge to the validity of their late daughter's will.

Lisa Marie Presley, the couple's only child, died at the age of 54 on 12 January after a cardiac arrest.

The court petition disputes a 2016 amendment to Lisa Marie's will that ousted Priscilla as the estate trustee.

The document misspelled her mother's name and had a signature that appeared unusual, Ms Presley's lawyers argue.

In a filing to the Los Angeles Superior Court, lawyers for the 77-year-old said that she only became aware of the "purported 2016 amendment" after Lisa Marie's death.

The amendment in question removes her mother and her former business manager, Barry Siegel, as co-trustees and replaces them with her children Riley, 33, and Benjamin Keough.

Benjamin Keough died in 2020 at the age of 27. Riley Keough is an actress with credits including 2020 film The Devil All the Time and the Amazon series The Terminal List.

According to the legal challenge, Ms Presley argues that the amendment was never delivered to her during her daughter's lifetime, as specifically required by the will.

The amendment to Lisa Marie's will also "misspells her mother's name" and bears a signature by Lisa Marie that "appears inconsistent with her usual and customary signature", says the court filing seen by the BBC.
