A distressing incident took place at the ISKCON Govinda vegetarian restaurant in London, where a young man, reportedly of African descent, deliberately brought a bucket of KFC chicken into the premises, despite being informed that the restaurant serves only vegetarian food in accordance with its spiritual ethos.


The individual openly ate the chicken and offered it to other diners and staff members, an act widely perceived as provocative and disrespectful. Staff called security to remove him, and the incident quickly went viral online, sparking debates over disrespect, possible racial and religious insensitivity. As of now, ISKCON officials have not issued an official statement, and local authorities are not reported to be involved.

Rapper Badshah has vehemently criticised a man who ate chicken inside Govinda, a vegetarian restaurant which is part of ISKCON's Radha-Krishna Temple in London. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Badshah reacted to a video, posted by @JIX5A, in which the man not only ate meat inside the restaurant but also offered it to the staff and customers.

Rapper Badshah has vehemently criticised a man who ate chicken inside Govinda, a vegetarian restaurant which is part of ISKCON's Radha-Krishna Temple in London. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Badshah reacted to a video, posted by @JIX5A, in which the man not only ate meat inside the restaurant but also offered it to the staff and customers.

Even as the angry staff and customers at the restaurant asked him to step outside, the man walked around eating chicken and offering it to everyone nearby.


Reacting to the post, Badshah wrote, "Even the chicken would be embarrassed. Dude wasn't hungry for chicken, he was hungry for some (sandals) on that face. True strength is in respecting what you don't understand."

 
It seems like the black dude didn't do it on purpose. He probably didn't know about it.

It doesn't seem like there was any malice behind it.

If they try to lynch in UK (that too to a black person), it may not end well for them. They can only do that type of thing in India where they have free passes from their extremist government.

I think KFC will have to pay for it eventually.

This is what happened two days ago in India. Some hindu group forced a KFC outlet to close and were asking them to serve veg only during sawan. :inti

ISCKON is a predatory cult and one of the most annoying religious groups in India. These guys brainwash young kids into their cult to giving their entire property to the organisation.

That being said, its still a faith group aligned restaurant restaurant and the youtuber was doing it as a prank to gain attention and views. Its disrespectful and antagonistic
 
Iskcon is pure vegetarian place. They offer free food to anyone who visits the place. Many homeless eat for free.
The last time I visited Iscon temple in Florida, the priest was an African American and most of the devotees are white American. Even many Hispanics have embraced Lord Krishna’s teachings and their devotion can put many Hindus to shame. They can recite the entire Bhagavad Gita with proper pronunciation of Sanskrit.

This African American man obviously was looking for attention.

My guess is that he wasnt aware of the religious aspect of the restaurant. Its not inside a temple complex, and the attached temple looks like a regular storefront from the outside

The prank must have been to eat meat in a vegan restaurant

It is still a very cruel thing to do as a prank even if you are unaware of the religious elements.

If he bought pig meat to a halal restaurant, i would be offended and many would start puking.

If he bought dog meat to any normal restaurant, again people will have issues.

Point is, it was an all vegetarian restaurant. A place for people that like vegetarian food to enjoy food and not be out off by meat.

There are people that get putt of by meat. I hate how arabs eat Camel mandi.

its a public place and as per certain rules established by restaurants he will be escorted out. Asking for his arrest and jail time is just plain idiotic. And giving more attention to people who are doing this for attention is another level of idiocy.

It’s generally considered poor etiquette to eat another restaurants food in a different restaurant.

The factors around vegetarianism and cultural sensitivity make this situation worse. The guy should have figured out pretty quickly that he was the the odd one out and making others uncomfortable….

People aren't so accepting of religious views being dishonoured when it comes to our religion. Try telling a Muslim that don't worry about cartoons it's just a few lines on paper...

Religious community doesn't need to believe in each others beliefs but they should stick together when any religion is attacked. Unfortunately many people think Hindu are fair game for being disrespected
 
Attention seeking for views, and he’s getting exactly that.

This is the UK, where people are free to follow whatever beliefs they choose. It’s not the subcontinent, where people are lynched over dietary or religious differences.

No one at that restaurant, not the restaurant owner, not the customers, was stopping anyone from eating meat elsewhere in the country.
