So Marvels planning to make a movie after their Pakistani-American character Kamala Khan. Riz Ahmed and Mindy Kaling might be writing the screenplay.

She's part of a group called 'inhumans' who are like mutants, her powers are that she can grow, stretch and shapeshift.

As a Pakistani American I don't care, if Pakistani actress of that age can do a good job with the role then it doesn't matter if she didn't grow up here.

No to the character as such, there is a difference, let's not forget its always gonna be weird if she speaks with a Desi accent having grown up in Jersey, which was always what I found cringeworthy in Bollywood movies but nevertheless.

But yeah as a Pakistani you wouldn't care but I just hope its true to the character and skin color.

all rumours..Riz and Mindy are sending out feelers on Twitter but ultimatley marvel and Kevin Feige will stay true to the character. They will be looking for a young actress, someone who can pull of the pakistani cultural aspect but ultimatley she has to be an american.

Whats really cool is that Kamala's story actually begins during partition and they do show her grandma's journey in 1947. Also she has a love interest from Karachi who is called the Red Khanjeer , a karachi based superhero, who migrates to the states for his education..

Also her supporting cast will be important e.g. abu , ami, big brother and friends who are a mix of hijabis and white girls and boys..a typical new jersey pakistani kid growing up in todays world..with super powers..I cant wait..this could be another Black panther..

and for those wanting a Bollywood actress to play her.plz, keep that bakwass away from the MCU..Kamal is 16-18..not 32 and doesnt have a desi accent..so Priyanka chopra can go jump and so can any other indian bollywood actress thanks very much..

Maybe you are an Alia Bhatt fan and jealous of Katrina Kaif, but even Alia would be a good choice to play the exotic role of a Pakistani superhero.

Hispanic would work better, I am thinking Selina Gomez would be perfect although not sure she would be okay wearing a burka.
