What's new

Misbah sponsored by AS now?

I wouldn't say CA dropped him, I'd rather say he ditched CA and went to AS because its money game after all!

He was with CA in T20 game and he is now with AS.

Good for AS as they got Pakistans captain (in Test) and vice captain (in ODIs) and sad for CA

generally for the paying public, yes. but for pros they get the bats made to their specs using the best willow. so at that level it will be the same.

so your sayin if i buy a 12k bat it wouldnt be the same as his shouldnt they get a LE or something?

from what I know pro's get their bats made from a particular company (with their specs as per their choice/comfort) so the bat remains the same, only the stickers get replaced, the stickers on their bats are different than what you get from stores (ie. from a retail store the stickers will literally be permanent, while the pro's bat stickers are easily replaceable) so today CA, tomorrow AS and then later GM or whatever... it's all to do with marketing the brand...

Good for CA that they lost him, he did nothing special using CA bats... i think now CA should go after Umer Akmal.

The more significanta arguement is will kids around the world be persuaded to use the same bat as a Misbah or even a Younis?

Yousuf? Yes

Umar Akmal? Yes

Afridi? Yes

Thus whatever AS are paying Misbah, is it really going to increase sales?

well im pretty sure misbah uses SS bats no matter which stickers he puts on. only thing is AS gloves arnt half as good as CA.
Also his pads are GM.

what do these companies get from paying people to use their bats??

Razzaq was the reason i bought a AS Gold bat a bout 3 years ago and Umar Akmal my ENGLISH housemate bought a GM Luna this season. My housemate is big fan of Umar.

you get the point right

If you closely see you will notice that Misbah has covered the CA logo on the pads. He had CA logo there before..
