First of all, I know Amir is only a tailender. But his technique against nothing pitched short is baffling. Almost instinctively, he hoists his bat up and turns his face away. This is the second time he has been struck already in this series.

Bowler's batting techniques is the least of your worries at the moment.

He should get straight to the nets with fakhar imam shan haris, theyl show him the technique on how to ride the bounce.

Not just his but the entire teams technique against short bowling is woeful so it is not just an Amir issue here.

Why don't we focus on the ACTUAL batsmens technique?

Those guys are in the team to score runs, otherwise kick them out.

He is holding up well, 17 for himself - more than many others in this team

3rd highest scorer of the team. Maybe front line batsmen should adopt his technique.

lol A thread for this? Lot of frotline batsmen have weakness against short ball. He is facing SA quicks in SA. Expecting him to bat like an accomplished batsman is a bit too much. What did the frontline batsmen do. They got out to the same short balls.

Hardly the least of or worries but yeah it's not great, needs to be worked on, but still he scored more runs than most of our batsmen today and he's in the team for his bowling anyway.

Been looking pathetic again against short ball, but like I say, he is a bowler and his job isn't to score runs.

Only Pakistanis could make a thread of a bowlers poor technique against the short ball and not the batsman’s technique I.e fakhar zaman

His technique should be the least of our worries. Its his bowling that needs to be inproved.

Lets discuss the techniqe of Imam-ul-Haq, fakhar and captain mediocre sarfraz.

I think problem is that he can get injured if he doesnt play the short ball right - like today when he was hit on the hand.

His batting technique (not only against short ball), is much better than Sarfraz. Doesn’t score much because he is the fast bowler of the team. Make him specialist captain and allow to bat at 7, he’ll out do Sarfraz.

abbas negotiating short ball way better than amir and Yasir.

The bounce was uneven at times. I think he will do alright on pitches where the bounce will be even.

My main concern is him getting hit by short balls almost in every innings. It’s obvious bowlers target him with bouncers because of his unease with them.
