History 'll tell there had been at least half a dozen off-spinners who ran through sides series after series without doosra. In fact some of those played before mid 1960s, when ICC changed the rule that a batsman can be given out LBW if "stuck out side the line of off stump, without offering shot". Gibbs, Laker, Tayfield, Ramdhin, Trumble, IW Johnson played almost their entire career when batsmen could plant their front-foot outside the line of off-stump & kick around whole day with their bat resting on shoulder.
Off-spin is the fundamental art of spin. In ODI, this is the best spin format to restrict scoring, particularly if a lefti is on strike. Most teams have 2/3 left-handers in their Test line up. From Day 3 on wards, an Off-spinner can be most effective bowling round the wicket on bowlers foot mark. An offie can operate effectively even against right handers, if there is some bounce & pace on the track. One of the classic attacking bowling is an Offife flighting out side off to right handers with a 3-6 fielding with a short-leg, leg slip, conventional slip, silly point & a short mid wicket, keeping entire cover open & encourage him to drive against the spin. If available, I request to watch some olden footage of Erapalli Prassanna bowling to right-handers.
PAK domestic wickets are dead slow & low, finger spinners have absolutely nothing but to go for line-length, quicker stuff & expect that batsmen 'll loose out patience. That's a major reason why Babar is so successful in PAK domestics. Extraordinary ones like Saqlin went on to invent unique things like doosra as a surprise element to survive on these tracks. Now, next generation have over cooked the idea & then went on to add pace as well - result: 40 degree straightening. Saqi indeed straighten his arm during doosra, but I am sure he would have passed the 15 degree Test easily, because, doosra was his surprise weapon & bowled at a much lower pace, with a legitimate action. Oblate, Ajmal started to dart faster doosra on leg stump, while Hafeez used to push through the air bowling round the wicket to left-handers - that's not off spin bowling by any means.
I don't think the role of off-spin is over. Quality conventional offies can play a vital role under right Captain.

no but i have seen score card of multan , he used to open bowling and get six fers in an inning.

The best spinner of 2nd last season. Mohammad Asif an offspinner does not get a single Fc or list A game this season. Not even one.
Where are the top performers files in NCA ? Somebody burnt his file aswell like Ali Imran Pasha's file ? Pcb adjusted many players whose department or region did not qualify for qea or national one day cup in other departments or regions team but Asif was not amongst them.
Even in Zim & WI domestic cricket this doesn't happen.
This is definition of JUSTICE & MERIT in pakistan. These are our systems.

Change is what 99.5 % people want.
There is 0.5 % Ashrafia which is corrupt from head to toe they are part of different institutions high brass who are essentially all one and form establishment.
This 0.5 % is United and strong and does not let change to come because they know a fair person and a fair system will firstly hold their necks and they and their predecessors will be held accountable for their deads over the past many decades.

After getting 33 wickets in 7 matches of his debut Fc season of 2014-2015 with best figures of 8-19 in an innings he became the best offspinner of both Silver & Gold league.
Subsequently PCB selectors did not pick him for next QEA trophy (any squad) nor for any squad of national one day cup and ................
The disheartened fellow could not bear this setback and he has left cricket.
Another one bites the dust.

I'm seeing spinners like sajid khan taking wickets for fun but this guy took wickets as an offspinner on those green wickets with grace ball and duke ball whenever no spinner was even getting the ball let alone taking wickets?

Sajid is awful. I watched him with such anticipation after hearing such good things. There is no way Sajid can turn the ball into a right handed bat with his action in any effective way. Really disappointed.

I saw him bowl and hr didn't get one off the straight, now I may missed this great ball but his action is such that he will not get sharp spin into right handers. If he does, then I owe him an apology.

He does spin it into the right handed , infact some he turns square. That ball to Nasir was a peach ..
I really like his action as he puts a lot of body in his action..
