Serious question.

Yes we are all from some particular part of Pakistan which enables us to support a particular team, be it Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad etc. However, PSL itself is new and I sincerely doubt there are genuine die hard fans as of yet. That being said, which franchise do you feel needs to work hard on their appeal and star attraction image? Some teams have the big names such as the Mccullums and the Gayles which make you watch the game. some attract with their natural aggressive style of play

In my opinion, I have very little motivation to watch an Islamabad united match. Its maybe the red shirts, the fact that they have lost their top draw opener, or maybe their is no motivation to watch washed up players like Watson, Haddin, Misbah, Sami, Irfan. Just feel this Islamabad brand needs a lot of work for it as a marketing perspective. Possibly a younger captain and younger overseas players.

IU.

Karachi has the star power but still struggling as a team.

Yes I agree.. IU is very boring with their old players and older captain.

i dont understand this criticism.

Islamabad is still playing, asif ali, RUmman raees, Amad Butt,Billings and Shadab. If you look at the Zalmi team, they have only Hasan Ali as the young one playing and asghar. Yet this team gets too much criticism for no reason.

IU and KK are super boring.

QG should have been there, but that KP knock has taken them away from that remark for now.

:)) i'm only watching IU matches due to Misbah. Dont know why you guys find it boring.
I like how IU goes after the target in a calculative way

IU since Sharjeel got himself in a mess otherwise I wouldn't have said anything. KK isn't boring at all, they look good on paper but they haven't been winning games a lot.

IU is very boring but has a bit more liveliness this year since induction of the English trio

the things that i find super boring

1. peshawars top three. hafeez, akmal, and tamim. omg yawn fest.

2. lahores bowling. sohail. bhatti. yasir. irfan iv. they put bor in boring basically.

3. quettas bowling. left armer galore. anwar ali. sri lankas anwar ali. plus quettas opening bats.

i still think the franchises can do so much better by selecting the right people. do not think that islamabad is boring but their cricket kit is super annoying. karachi i think have some excitement both up front in bowling and batting.

I find Islu very boring. Everything from their owners, to their kit, to their old players is boring.

I understand if people say Islamabad United but personally there isn't one team I find boring

Islamabad after the downfall of sharjeel has become very boring to watch.

IU is most boring without sharjeel also these old foriegn players

by quality of cricket and passion from the players, it has to be Karachi by far, Islamabad second

A tight one between Karachi and Islamabad. But Islamabad edges out because of their oldie local players.

But I got to say that Isloo is pretty efficient despite having a lot of ancient players. They bowl well in tandem.

:)) whats with the combined age? Lol

Peshawar Zalmi right now. Rely on Tamim, Have people like Akmal, Hafeez, Afridi (Too Old) and Junaid.

Can't get any worse than Quetta. Only KP there to save their grace.

ASAD Shafiq
Ahmed Shehzad
Anwar Ali
Saad Nasim
Zulfi Babar
Sarfraz (to some extent)

...
How can anyone possibly beat them at being boring? :baelish

By destabilising an entire team in order to accomodate a 40 year old slogger

As a Islamabad native it just ticks me off

LQ. Annoying to see how the owners are way too involved in the team and the way they celebrate on boundaries etc.

Come on that is all fun and nothing wrong in it...I really love his enthusiasm.

Islamabad United - though I support them.

I don't wanna see Rafat uncle playing  - I rather that Shadab gets the chance to open rather than Rafat chacha.

Karachi Kings. Don't get why people are calling IU boring. So what they have old players, they won the freaking title!

like most people suggested its Islamabad for me too
Karachi to a lesser extent. They just bring no effort

on the other end. Quetta is so much fun to watch. Fantastic team, with the least number of proven stars

Islamabad.

Good team but boring.

Karachi has a lot of entertaining parts (i.e. Gayle) but aren't firing.

Watching Islamabad United match is so boring i just watch their bowling part Rumman Raees, Shadab khan, Ammad butt excites me..
Karachi too was bit boring but with inclusion of Usama mir, shinwari n Babar as a opener makes you watch them.
Also Hafeez is really boring sick of him need to replace him with young Khushdil shah.

Some PP experts say Quetta is accumulators eleven, even though they chased 200 twice in two seasons.

Hasan123... Other teams might not be playing youngsters as much as we would like but nobody is playing as many oldies as your beloved IU.

PZ in my opinion, not a single emerging player representing their side. Hasan Ali is already a capped player.

Quetta is too boring to watch, IU matches are still full of thrilling momentums....KK and LQ have some very close matches and they loose by the end.

Karachi. Babar, Amir and Imad are the only reason to watch. Usama too. Despite some exciting players though they are just a boring team.

Sami ,Smith, and Watson are performing though.

Your Karachi Kings have oldies who aren't doing anything. Oh well at least you can replace 37 years old chris gayle with 39 year old mahela jaywardne.

Hit the nail on the hail. They are very boring to watch. Good to see Mohammad Irfan bowl good yorkers though.

The teams and players he backs are faceplam worthy. :najam

Plus too much irony.

I find Quetta Gladiators and Lahore qalanders as exciting teams while other three are very boring to me.

Find Islamabad United very boring, majority is oldies

Lol he backs Sarfraz but I have seen him critizing him plenty before. Called Azhar Ali a tailender/nights watchmen. Look how that turned out :danish . Called Babar Azam our best batsmen than a few weeks later is questioning him.

Too much flip flopping

IU for me, I only watch them from time to time because of Sam Billings he's quite entertaining but now even he's leaving for the WI series.

Azhar Ali is a tailender and night watchman in ODIs. FACT

Babar Azam is our best batsman but sometimes he plays counter-productive innings that are borderline selfish. FACT

Sarfaraz Ahmed is the best captain in Pakistan and is a spectacular LOI batsman. FACT

"A man who stands for nothing will fall for anything"

Atleast I stand for something unlike you peeps who just follow whichever way the wind is blowing. The less said about Hawkeye the better, the guy is a die-hard fan of Akmals lmao, he even made a thread on how Sarfaraz is the best tactitian in Pakistan and then went back on his word.

#flipflop #blatantlying

You was on about in tests though lol.

I follow the wind, I was the only one backing Azhar in tests. I have always said Sarfraz is a good captain and good fit at number 4 or 5 in LO but shouldn't bat lower than that.

It's not always about the players to make something exciting. Look at the way the Qalanders set up off the field! Their manager does whatever is necessary to make them an exciting brand. Lets be fair, he is an attraction in himself with his moustache and other antics, his emotions when they are winning or losing. Javed Afiridi and the Zalmi boys show a lot of character off the field as well. IMO, the Zalmi and the Qalanders squads can actually compete as champions league title contenders, they are very good brands.

All we see with IU is the oldies...huge emphasis on Misbah...the owner who would be far better off in traditional Pakistani attire instead of promoting her corporate image (just my personal opinion, she can wear whatever she likes) and then you have the wags that are not so glamorous tbf.

These franchises could do well if they hire brand promoters

Pensioners Utd brand is that of winners.

Last year they were too old and they won the whole thing.

This year they've lost players to match fixing investigations and they keep on winning.

While other teams are clutching their pearls and crying about captains/coaches/Akmals the oldies keep on motoring along

I am a Karachiite but I won't mind if the grandads go all the way again, the salt on PP will glorious :salute

Beta I am already full of salt. If IU even make the finals then I will be dead of high blood pressure.

Let go of your hate, embrace the geriatrics and your life will be much improved. Just think about it:

Junior Akmal continues to be Junior Akmal despite batting higher in the order under an attacking captain, leaving the Akmal fans having panic attacks without their beloved #MisbahsFault safety blanket to which they have clung for all these years.

Mickey Arthur, who was being showered with praise not too long ago, now has people asking whether he knows what he is doing.

Sarfraz is on a roller coaster ride going from tacticial genius to completely useless to aggressive hero then back to zero in the blink of an eye.

All these super talented young pacers who were being kept out of the team finally play a televised match and turn out to be trundlers.

Meanwhile, Islamabad 2nd XI continues to churn out the wins leaving a trail of devastated PPers in their wake. Islamabad are secretly the most fun team to follow because of all the tears from everyone else.

Most of the people who are saying Islamabad is boring because of old players, they are just being naive.

You don't judge the level of entertainment of a team by the age of its player, you judge it by looking at the quality of cricket the team plays.

Till now, Islamabad has played top quality cricket. Their bowling has been superb, and during run chases, they dont go all guns blazing. They chase the target calculatingly. Let me Remind you that our tail has yet to bat in any game of PSL2

Playing quality cricket what matters.

That match where 57 was the target, that match was a joke. Both teams threw their wickets away. Thats not how you go after a run chase.

The job of these PSL teams are to win the PSL championship. Now they could select anyone they want to do this job.
PSL teams job isn't to be a trial team for Pakistan selection.

Also, i think its more embarrassing for other teams that the so called Buddha eleven with slow reflexes keep on beating the energetic and talented youngster teams.

That 59 all out match was the most entertaining match of the tournament.

Nothing excites me about Multan Sultans and their opening combination of Rizwan and Shan Masood….

and then the lower order power of Khushdil Shah. Boring players masquerading as T20 giants!

Quetta and Karachi

Quetta used to be exciting in the start but their marketing is terrible.

KK just makes too much noise and doesnt really represent Karachi.

Multan Sultan’s pepsi can shirts with a green tinge.

Love watching Quetta and Karachi games v Peshawar.

Absolute fire matches!!

Short memories.

Ishanullah and his pace and wickets - all the rage at that time.

Peshawar Azam lol

novelty factor

Watch how he will be carted around like Rauf was in India very soon.

Karachi Kings even a champion like Wasim Akram failed to change their fortunes add to it they let go superstars like RizBar

Both Karachi teams. I mean Karachi and Quetta. Karachi makes a lot of noise and always flops. Quetta is led by Sarfraz, Moin enough said.

quetta used to be a very good team in UAE and were fun to watch. Its sad how bad they have fallen.

Karachi had every good player that exists. They gave away every single one of them. A joke franchise.

They both are joke of a franchise and both run by people who don't don't know anything. Who can forget the Quetta owner calling Azam Khan the next Chris Gale lol. They refuse to get rid of Moin and Sarfraz after flopping every years due to friendship. Hope both Karachi and Quetta finish at the bottom again.
