Didn’t realize less for Pak than even India! Does this stat count UAE as home?

I guess not?

When you select home, I think it only picks matches played in Pakistan. Pakistan are a very dominant host nation in tests. No surprises there.

I'm surprised by India's record.

We can field club level spinners and win series after series in India. It's funny how teams being atrocious against spin never gets highlighted nearly as much as teams being bad against pace.

No it doesn't, in statsguru UAE is neutral for Pakistan.

If you include neutral venues, Pakistan has lost 20 matches out of total 73 since Jan 1, 2000. One of the losses was in Colombo against Australia in 2002, so 19 in Pak, UAE.

There is also the small matter of India playing 62 more Tests which obviously means more defeats as well.

Similarly, England’s rate of losing home matches is much lower than South Africa.

Australia were the most dominant home side in the 2000s while India was the most dominant home side in the 2010s.

There are only two good teams in international cricket, India and Australia.

Rest are minnows.

Start of millennium is Jan 1, 2001. Using that filter will propel India's W/L above Australia's. We suffered that humiliating 0-2 defeat against SA in 2000. That led to dawn of a new era in India cricket with the exit of fixers and Ganguly being made captain.

Pakistan has lost 19 matches if you include UAE, 20 if you include Sri Lanka. 20 losses in 73 matches (#6). England lost 32 out of 141 at home.

SA faring worse than Eng is a surprise since they had an ATG team for half that period and exceptionally good for 18 out of those 20 years. The way England keeps dropping home tests and the fact that they were mediocre for most of the 2000s, I thought SA would be way above them. Also note that SL, NZ, Pak have similar W/L, 1.7-1.8 range. Pakistan's weakest phase(since 50s, 60s) which also saw SL and NZ's greatest years.

Ironically, the biggest fixer was also our biggest performer in that 0-2 defeat.

Sometimes we take the easy route in blaming Azhar and co for the poor record in the 1990s, Azhar was still our second best player and probably our best at home during that time.

Such an atrocious statement. Both are poor away. I guess you did'nt watch india tour of NZ or their last English tour or their last SA tour

Aus def improving away
Remember we recently drew a top tier nation at full strength away from home over a 5 test series

With Labu, Smith and Cummins we should start being successful overseas

Brother, take a look at the stats you yourself posted.
Pakistan has a W/L ratio of 2.0 in home conditions, that's even worse than England.

Just imagine if we lost 32 tests in India lol.

There'd be a riot.

Despite their regular shelling of home Tests, South Africa and particularly England still both have very good Win/Loss ratios, which is the more important number here imo.

who cares?
they tend to pull through in the end when it counts. series wins are what counts because thats what you are actually playing for
can barely remember the last time england lost a series at home
