The accused allegedly punched Jafferudin and forced the barber to chop off his beard.

GURUGRAM: A 36-year-old Muslim man who had gone out to buy vegetables for his eatery was allegedly labelled a Pakistani, beaten up and forced to shave his beard by two men near Khandsa mandi in Gurugram earlier this week.


On Tuesday morning, Jafruddin Hamid — a resident of Mewat’s Badli village who runs a roadside eatery in Sector 29 — had accompanied his cook Ibrahim to Khandsa Mandi to buy vegetables. “Ibrahim wanted a haircut, so we went to a barber’s shop near the market. The two men were inside the shop and were getting a haircut. One of them asked me to cut my beard. When I refused citing my religion, the duo called me a Pakistani and suddenly started thrashing me,” said Jafruddin.

If what you say is true, then it would make the forced conversions theory which is propagated by Hindutva seem to be inaccurate. Hindus indeed seem to have a natural affinity for Islamic countries and thus will be impressed with Pakistan rather than western countries like my own dear England.

This is true. The élite from U.P. went to Karachi in Pakistan. But still you can't get bullied for a beard or eating some beef burger. That's ridiculous. Only times Muslims have lived this humiliated was in Reconquista Spain. It's up for the Muslims of Hindustan to look at the great figures of Islam like the early conquerors or Aurangzeb, and emulate them, or get hunted down because they slapped a cow or something.

Good news is incidende like this always get reported in india. And hopefully accused wud be dealt with proper law.
India is huge country like whole europe so some cases here and there against all communities do happen here always. Anyway i wont downplay that rise in hate against muslims has been happening. But till now its mangeable and controllable.
