SSA speaking after winning the MOTM award against NZ:

"Firstly, thanks to the Almighty, I am putting in good performances in every game I am playing and hopefully I will continue this and play well for Pakistan"

"My fitness and bowling have improved with the work been done by the coaching staff, including Azhar Mahmood"

"I feel I am bowling much better yorkers in the final overs"

"We look at the weak zones of a batsman and slower balls are more effective in the end overs"

"I bowled with the newer ball in the Asia Cup and will do what is best for the team and as instructed [by the team]"

"My goal is to play for a long time for Pakistan, and play well"

"I don't feel any pressure, I just go out there and bowl"

"The senior players are giving confidence and support, I go out there and bowl according to the team plan"

"I bowl whenever the team wants me to bowl, I bowled in the powerplay in Asia Cup as well, towards the death I utilise slower balls and yorkers more"

I hope he proceed well and remain focused. Our young bowlers have the tendency to loose focus. :HA

He needs to hone his conventional skills in his initial years (swing, line and length, yorkers, quick skiddy bouncers from just short of good length) and rely mostly on them. He needs to perfect these skills for next 3-4 years before trying to learn the gimmicks of back of the hand slower balls, knuckle balls, split finger deliveries, slower bouncers etc.

Our youngsters are too focused on whatsapp, snapchat, and other social media antics more than taking their game to the next level... there is nothing wrong with being on social media, but these guys are doing it a bit OTT often paindu style... aur phir in ka phasion hi nahin khatam hota...

as far as SSA is concerned he is a kid you wont find going astray, doesnt look like it...

That is the reality of this generation. You cannot avoid or escape it. However, it will not interfere with your hard work and dedication if you have the right mindset.

Look at Kohli - he clearly spends a lot of time on improving his appearance, but has not prevented him from becoming a legend.

If Shaheen or others do not work hard, it is not because of Instagram or Snapchat but their own laziness and lack of focus. A person who does not have the capacity to work hard will not work hard even if he does not have access to these platforms.
