The hardline stance persists from the Burmese military regarding the Rohingya.

Out of a population of 51 million the Rohingya just make up 1.3 million yet the state persecution of them persists despite the fact giving them citizenship poses no real security or demographic threat to Burma.

Giving them citizenship would reduce the appeal of extremist groups.

No International actor really is trying to resolve the conflict either be it Burmas neigbours and regional powers or global powers.

These poor people are like a tomatoes in a sandwich. If Burma is killing them then Bangladesh is morally obliged to take them in like we did the Afghans.
