What exactly is the point of this tournament now when it'll be held after the PSL draft? ::J

Players Selection Ceremony for National T20 Cup 2018-19

Lahore-November 8, 2018: The PCB held Players Selection Ceremony for National T-20 Cup at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore today. Eight Regional sides Lahore Blues, Lahore Whites, Karachi Whites, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Multan, FATA, and Peshawar selected 14 players each to complete their set of 18 players for the tournament.

All teams had picked four players each before the start of the ceremony; whereas each team had to include atleast two Emerging Players in their squads. The Player Selection Ceremony was held in a cordial atmosphere, where the regions were represented by Presidents and Coaches. The junior and senior selection committee members assisted the regional teams to make formidable combinations for the T20 tournament

The National T20 Cup 2018-19 will commence from December 10, 2018 to December 25, 2018 in Multan.

Very strong squads, but where is Sarfraz? and why did they make captain Anwar Ali, Saad Naeem ect captain..

Arsal Sheikh is the only player in the Emerging category from Islamabad. When will this Sifarishi be dropped.

Sad to see Saif Badar being selecter in Akmal mafia squad. Now they will ensure he is either not picked in the XI or made to bat at 6 or 7.

So even under IK there is no difference!!! Its all politics, loot tax payers' money and nobody really give a damn of our cricket.

Shameful stuff by PCB. You don’t need drafts in the domestic cricket. A player from one region should never play for another region. Where is the incentive for a region to actually invest in youth? This system is killing cricket in Pakistan.

Yes.... just what we needed more domestic T20 tournaments because we seem to be doing spectacularly in ODIs.

Thank you PCB

:salute

Have always supported Rawalpindi Rams as they used to be known in FB T20. They always used to have youngsta beauties.

This is so so so sad.

The same old names, the same old process, even in "NAYA PAK". Courtesy IK and Ehsan Mani.

Where's the change? New faces? Merit?

How do you rate him?

Way off from contention, but he can hit the ball and that in of itself is something special considering our lack of talent in that area.

I don't think he is anything special, but maybe he can fill a role as an attacking opener.

These squads are actually pretty good.

Even though there are lots of TTF's in these squads, happy to see players like Zeeshan Malik, Saif Badar, Ali Shafiq, Saim Ayub, Umair Masood etc.

Lets hope they are given opportunities.

Good balanced lineup and i think nasir nawaz needs to step up his game and score runs as i feel he can be the guy who could be invested in limited overs formats in future.....

Good to see Amir leading finally. But, I don't think Rawalpindi has the best team - to me the best squad is Lahore White.

2. Salman Butt

I guess alot of players will miss out as many are featuring in the emerging Asia Cup and the Pak test players might rest a week before preparing for SA tour.

Guys like Saud Shakeel will miss a good chance to showcase themselves.

Meaningless tournaments which will only give us players like bilal Asif mukhtar Ahmed rifattaluah

Useless and wasted tournament when selectors not going to select players from here and rather play their family members.

This sort of tournament should've happened before the PSL draft, nonsensical decision to organize it.

Same cronyism, nepotism going on. Shakeel Sheikh son and nephews in different teams. Ehsan Mani is worse than Najam Sethi.

There was a time when I would wait for this tournament all year just to see my team loose in virtually every final against Sialkot Stallions. Now the standards have drastically gone down the drain. That feeling of regional loyalty died when they started the draft system. How can Shoaib Malik play for Karachi!!!!! He was the tormentor of my sole when his team would beat Karachi Dolphins every year without fail. Now there are no Sialkot Stallions, no Karachi Kings, no Lahore Lions. Only PCB knows how to kill its own product.
