Netherlands 143 (27.5/28 ov)

Canada 62/1 (10.0/28
ov)

A very important match going on with respect to one fixed spot in the 2015 WC that can be secured through the current round.

Ireland have already qualified for the WC and if Canada can upset Netherlands today or even if the match gets washed out Afghanistans chances of qualifying for the WC would be more or less certain.

Afghanistan has two games against Kenya in the UAE. Afg NRR and Net NRR are pretty much the same. So if Afghanistan wins their games, they will qualify.

Scots also have same points, but their last two games are against Ireland, so will be dificult to win both and with Good margin as they are a bit behind on NRR.

If Netherland lose this they will be out of it imo.

Thats absolutely right.

But just forget about the Scots, their last two matches are against Ireland who are on a winning spree so I doubt they will let Scotland get any point.

Initially I wanted both Canada v/s Netherlands matches to be rained out so that Netherlands to get only 2 points out of 4 but now I prefer that the match starts and Canada wins.

I am just a bit afraid that Uae might qualify for the WC, both their matches are against a weak opponent like Namibia where they are guaranteed 4 points so if Afghanistan choke in one of the games against Kenya then Uae might sneek in and I would absolutely hate to see a team of Expats qualifying in the WC.

Advantage for Afghanistan would be that their matches will be last to be played in this round so they will be well aware of what needs to be done to qualify.

12:40: There is still lots of
water on the field. Next
Inspection 2:00pm.

Jeez, is it going to be washed out ?
