Hello Friends,

My 2012-2013 cricket season is about to start soon and i am in the market for a new bat. I am tied between CA 15000plus cricket bat and a SM cricket bat. And the difference is around AUD$150!

Is the CA 15000 plus really worth the difference? I am getting a SM bat with 20 grains and half heartwood. I am not too much concerned about the durability of the bat and would be happy if it lasts me one season. I was after a SM bat last season, but ended up buying Woodworm instead. (http://www.pakpassion.net/ppforum/showthread.php?t=133890).

Both my Woodworm and SS Ton LE are in Good shape and have lovely grains and ping and i just wanted a bat with a different feel to the SS TON LE and lower middle sweet spot. The seller thinks the SM suits my specs and the much appreciation of the CA 15000 plus on pp drew my attention towards it.

So which would shod i go for? Sorry for the long post and any recommendation would be great!

Thanks

my friend got a 15000 from sialkotshop and it is a great bat!

i have seen an SM with lovely grains it was also around 15 -16 grains, but haven't played with it but if you get the real CA

15000 plus you won't be disappointed. For such a light bat it has a

great middle and i think the middle is a bit low compared to my flare.

As far as the difference ($150) it is up to you i'm sure the SM is also a good bat.

Of course i cannot tell what other bat CA may come up with in the future so it's your call....

I think it cost my friend around $330 CDN not sure....

If this is the case run out right now and get a CA 15000! you wont be disappointed.

Your luck as to how long it lasts but it will be better than you expect!

Thanks for the reply Alee...I contacted a few online retailers for CA 15000 plus and they dint have stock. I also contacted CA directly and they quoted me $340 for bat and $40 for normal 10-12 days postage...so i went with the SM as I may move house and dint want to invest too much in CA at the moment.

@Cricketismylife...I think the CA 15000 plus are in high demand...not many retailers have it at the moment so i went with SM... hopefully would buy a CA 15000plus mid season

I received the SM US 100 cricket bat yesterday... it has 22 grains and a nice pickup....would add a full review soon
