New HS bat

Just bought my first bat a HS spark 80.bought a cheap one cause ill be only using it for club cricket in the summers.Could only guide me how to knock the edges(already done the face)as youtube does not provide a clear explanation.Also is there any way to confirm that the bat is indeed made of english willow
