so,stage is set for Eden Park to produce another thriller between two competitive outfits. Can Aussies bounce back from Napier defeat?Lets see...

Australia have won the toss and elected to bat first.Pitch looks a beauty for batting..

just 20 minutes to go.

No Oram, No Ross Taylor, McCullum has some back problem (he is playing though, won't keep the wickets).

Aussies all the way today.

Why isn't Taylor playing? Who's captain then? Is Vettori back?

But the old, wily customer is back...

Yeah, Dan is back. Don't know why Taylor is not playing though.

Taylor is big loss, and I can't see any Kiwi batsman filling his gap for the game.

Yeah,Vettori is back but no Taylor...His absence is a huge blow for black caps. He's such a good Odi player and back bone of their batting..

so you are writing off Scotty Styris......... :13:
Yes, Styris is pretty mediocre (imo).

Anyway, agree that Taylor is a huge blow, he's a quality bat.

The whole leg is not funtionally properly :Taylor.

Hopefully will be back for next game. : Taylor

Oram's absence isnt a big blow,he has been woeful with the bat for quite a while now...

Taylor is a big loss, I think probably due to only his absence Kiwis will lose today. Dan over Oram, I will take Dan any day.

This NZ side isn't actually bad at full strength; Guptill is getting better while McCullum, Taylor, Vettori and Bond are all proven matchwinners and thats not mentioning Oram (who has been in nightmare touch for a long while).. could go far in the WC, but we say that every year only to see them choke in the semis. :P

Yes, he finished the game, but who took the game to that stage?
Iam sure had scotty got in earlier,he wouldve done the same job..But its a new game, lets see who holds that middle-order together today..

Its being shown on PP TV, don't think its on in the UK.

You do rate Styris very high. Don't you? :))

It won't be Sky sports who show it, they don't have rights to NZ cricket unless its a world tournament or English series. Is probably a long shot that any other sports channel will have it in the UK.

Its surprising and somewhat refreshing to see Watson gettting beaten..
:31:
Bond is a very classy bowler.

even :asif was struggling to get past the defences of Watson..Such was the form of Watson throughout the summer..

Bond has a yard of extra pace, I suppose. Makes it harder for Watson to plant the front foot straight down the wicket which was easier against :asif

Ok, I am going to watch MaN United Tv being telecasted on Super3. :P

The match will be viewed after that.

LMAO at Border:

"These Australians work very hard at their fielding with drills, shame the same can't be said about the subcontinent sides. Although, India are improving and Sri Lanka are pretty decent............

but thats how :asif used to dismiss batsmen when he was at his peak.bringing the batsmen forward and then moving the ball either way, especially that in-cutter which was so lethal...

Well there was nothing in it for the bowlers at the MCG and little for them in Hobart or the 2nd innings at the SCG (although :moyo.... anyway..) so the only time there was enough movement was when :Sami got rid of Watto.

Overall, though, I think its fair to say that he just outclassed Pakistan that Summer.

The ball which got through the defences of Clarke at SCG-1st innings-was a jaffa,a typical :asif dismissal

Bond bowling too many slower balls, Watto smacks this one for 6.

NZ and Aus commentators laying into how many non-English players are in the England side! :))

The ashes is far better now its between SA "A" and Australia.

Watson & Haddin opening up nicely

RR gone up from 3 to 5 RPO in no time!

NZ doing what they are best at and diving (AND STOPPING!!) the ball like there is no tmrw. Brilliant by McCallum is particular

NZ fielding is top notch.

Pak could do worse than to stay up & watch them fielding

Watson will feel as though he missed out on a big ton (or double???)

Ponting did a ':iamlegend' there.......!!tried to slog the ball on the on side to a ball which pitched outside the off stump.

A bit overzealous in regards to the South Africans there. I mean, I'm sure they'll have an Irish bloke in their somewhere, or maybe even a Pakistani who decides to support England once he makes the squad.
